Looks to just be bug fixes. Not a bad thing, it's pretty crashy. Oh and it now pauses when you pull out your headphones apparently.

i didnt know whether to put this in spotify or mixtape thread...how about a spotify playlist "exchange". I know you can't pick EXACTLY what you'd want, but this makes it more of a challenge. We can have themes and everything! Just no fun handmade cd cases. Wow my idea is sounding worse and worse. Basically it's a mixtape excahnge for anyone who is poor like me and owns no music/has such a shit laptop that itunes wont open

that's a nice idea. me and astrid have done ours already :-)

for mine: imagine the cover being a mug shot of emma goldman, possibly with a bakground of some map or something.

I think Spotify playlist exchange is a nice idea. It's so damn easy to make one.

Spotify is also good for doing someone a 101 intro to a band. Well if their stuff is on Spotify.

I am not sure I can cope with hearing any more advertisements for Foster's lager.

Ah, that's a beautiful song, isn't it. The whole album's great, in fact. I'm basically telling everyone who'll listen about it...even if they won't listen.

That IS a goodie and pop-full to the brim. I would NEVER have though the Motifs would be on Spotify, or Liechtenstein. Well done you.

Is anyone else finding Spotify buggy today, or is it just me?

I'm having a strange bug where if you skip to another song, the next track picks up however far into the previous song you were.

Er...

Anyway, there seems to have been an update recently as spotify asked me to re-allow it to use my passwords (which it does whenever there's an update).

I'd like to give Spotify a go but it's only available on Windows and Mac. They do have a Linux client but it seems you can only use it if you're a subscriber. Is there some way of listening to it on the web like there is with last.fm?

I don't know that there is, but if it's just to try it out you're welcome to borrow my subscription for a day or two. Pm me.

Thank you for the offer Tony. The program for linux is currently an unsupported preview build and I don't think I can be bothered with messing about with something that might not work straight away. I'll stick to last.fm for now but if I do decide to give it a go at a future date I might take you up on it.

That might be wise, if it doesn't support the free subscription, it doesn't suggest that the linux client is top of their list of priorities. Is there an Android version and then just plug your phone into your stereo or use the headphones? The cut down iPod Touch/iPhone client is actually a lot better than the full Windows or OSX clients in many ways - When I use it, it's 95% of the time via the iPod into my stereo and not via my PC.

PS.a quick google says there is
pps. and actually reading the blurb it says you need a premium account - oh well - still it may be worth a try, the offer is there.

Yes but you need to be a subscriber for that too.
