Here's July's mix from Flowers who are DJ at the club on Saturday. It’s a wonderful selection featuring The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Galaxie 500, Television Personalities, The Stooges, Another Sunny Day, The Velvet Underground, The Shangri-Las and many more. Here’s what Rachel from the band had to say about their mix -

“Sam and I chose these songs because they’re all songs we love, that make us laugh, cry, and dance, respectively, or sometimes all at once.

We love the old indiepop greats, of course, so a selection of these songs are included in our choice for the podcast, but we also love punk songs, more electronic music, 60s stuff, all sorts (we love ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’ too)… We didn’t include much new music, looking back at the list, but then on the whole we don’t listen to much new music! Wish we had a longer podcast to put more songs into, but then again we have our DJ set next week, so we’ll do it then!”

I couldn't see a Fever Dream thread anywhere so it'll have to go in here again (sorry for somewhat dominating it but, hey)

Our August podcast has been compiled by Adey, Sarah and Cat from Fever Dream! They'll be returning to DJ at the club at the end of this month and over the 17 tracks there's everything from No Age to David Bowie, New Order to Times New Viking and Sonic Youth to Paul Simon.

Here's what they had to say about the mix -

"These are the songs that make our limbs flail and our hearts flutter, that transport us back to our salad days; to memories that make you at once wince and blush. And Paul Fucking Simon. We become friends over our shared love of 90s Indie rock, but our tastes are pretty idiosyncratic these days so we'll attempt to gel our favourite songs new and old when we DJ. Most that know us will agree that we're very serious people, so expect some very serious dancing on August 31st"

As with all of our other podcasts, you can stream it on Mixcloud http://www.mixcloud.com/ScaredToDance/s ... odcast-23/

It's been some time since I've put together our monthly podcast so you can look on this collection as a "best of 2013 so far" which taps into our listening habits this year. On the podcast there's an exclusive track from the new Wave Pictures album City Forgiveness, the brilliant Sweet Baboo make an appearance with our favourite song in the world right now and then there’s the pick of the 7777777 singles club from WIAIWYA with that Jeff Mellin track.

Also on the pod there's indie legends The Pastels and a remixed Belle and Sebastian, a stormer from Rotifer and new kids on the block Joanna Gruesome, Flowers, T.O.Y.S, Tyrannosaurs Dead and The Spook School. We have a brand new offering from The Just Joans 6.9 Love Songs EP whilst Allo Darlin's Elizabeth Morris branches out solo and then a gorgeous track from the new Camera Obscura LP to finish us off.

The Wave Pictures - Lisbon
Sweet Baboo - If I Died…
Belle and Sebastian - Your Cover's Blown (Miaoux Miaoux Remix)
Jeff Mellin - Smile Like a Lemon Peel Kiss Like a Papercut
Rotifer - I Just Couldn't East As Much (As I'd Like to Throw Up)
Withered Hand - King of Hollywood (Garage Version)
Joanna Gruesome - Secret Surprise
Tyrannosaurs Dead - Buried In the Ground
T.O.Y.S - Make Luv
The Spook School - I'll Be Honest
Crystal Stilts - Star Crawl
Flowers - Stuck
The Just Joans - Durex Puppy
Fulhäst - What Do You See?
Club 8 - Stop Taking My Time
The Ballet - Turn You
Elizabeth Morris - Young Republic
Without Feathers - Scared and Worried
The Pastels - Check My Heart Out
Camera Obscura - Break It to You Gently

Another one from us...

Amelia Fletcher and Eithne Farry from Talulah Gosh have compiled our October podcast ahead of their DJ set at the club on Saturday.

It’s a mixture of influences on the band from the likes of ’80s indiepop from The Shop Assistants, Beat Happening, Dolly Mixture and The Smiths to ’60s pop with The Chiffons, The Ronettes, Carole King, Gloria Jones plus some newer stuff from Allo Darlin’ and Standard Fare.

You can listen to the podcast for free on Mixcloud at http://www.mixcloud.com/ScaredToDance/s ... odcast-25/

The February podcast is packed with brand new music. We take you through indiepop to dream pop, lo-fi to garage rock and to the more experimental.

There’s the latest from Xiu Xiu and then Papernut Cambridge with the electronic version of their fantastic “Don’t Make Me Admit Stuff”. Bill Callahan goes dub taking us into the bedroom synth of Sunny Intervals. We then turn to Sweden with The Cardigans’ Nina Persson and an unheard track by The Mary Onettes.

There’s also new songs from The Wave Pictures, Rotifer, Marissa Nadler, sky larkin, Sock Puppets, Dot Dash and Math the Band. Plus previews from forthcoming albums by Chain & The Gang and Horowitz.
