Can we have a 'They should've released nothing...' thread with one post in that reads 'Pink Floyd'. And then can it be locked, please?

Yes, Belle and Sebastian. Absolutely. They should have stopped after 'Dear Catastrophe Waitress' at the latest. Although 'Arab Strap' might have been good too.

Every band who didn't split up after the first single...
And by me, I mean, Flexo.

WHAT are YOU talking ABOUT?!??!?!?!!?!

Well, I must admit I do agree with you about Around the Sun, and much of Reveal, but I was listening to Up yesterday and I'd forgotten what a wonderful thing it is. As for the rest of their post-1992 output, well, if it hadn't been for Monster I'd never have got into them in the first place (and music generally for that matter), New Adventures in Hi Fi is the greatest thing in the world ever, and the newbie, Accelerate, just about matches it.

I'll go with U2 though, and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Why are they both so big?

Utterly horrible in every way. Someone needs to start a "They should have released nothing" thread for them.

primal scream.

this thread could just about have any band that's released more than three albums in it couldn't it? or in primal scream's case two singles.

The Fall. You could probably make a great double album of their best bits though.
