I miss Prolapse. Their shows were always exciting affairs, and Linda was quite cute, as can be seen here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FsU5b6LT0Wk

I never got to see Prolapse, so you're one up on me.

Hearing Emma Pollocks solo album made me realise how much i miss the Delgados.

Oh, me too. I was listening to them the other day. I heart Prolapse so much.

I remember one time when I interviewed them I didn't dare look at Linda cos she was way too pretty. I think everyone in the East Midlands fancied Linda Steelyard in 1994.

You can now see her work in the Leicester Mercury.

I only cottoned onto them right at the end of their career sadly, so only got to see them a couple of times. Their show at the Flapper & Firkin in Brum in 1999 still ranks as one of my favourite gigs ever.

Did you ever see them do 'Tina, This is Matthew Stone'? They ScottishMick and Linda used to literally have a fight on stage.

Tim's drums in MJ Hibbett & the Validators these days, of course.

I didn't know the names of the songs, but yeah, I remember them having a good old scrap on stage!

They've been split up for nearly two days now, and I already miss Twinkie.

They were pretty great. . Having said that, I do sometimes think that Saloon people are actually making better music on their own, Arthur and Martha, the Left Outsides and the Leaf Library (I saw Amanda playing with some of the Eighteenth Day of May a while ago, but nothing seems to have come of that, except they might be called Trimdon Grange (Explosion), and demos were supposedly recorded in February).

[shameless plug]New Leaf Library single out soon, by the way. ISAN remix on the flip. [/shameless plug]

Keep us posted if you hear anything else! Amanda is one of my favourite singers ever and I'd love to hear if she does anything new.
