Prolapse Tribute Album?

Post by Trev » Tue Dec 13, 2011 20:40

I've been trying to kick this thing off what seems like years now.

I really want to do it. But I need more bands to make it viable. Last time around we got about 10 expressions of interest and 5 or 6 concrete yes.

Let's try again.

If you are in a band and would like to contribute a cover of the fab PROLAPSE to this covers album. LET ME KNOW.

info(at)oddboxrecords.com

Thanks.

Let's see if I can get this up and running in 2012.

Me and my pal were going to go on Stars in Their Eyes as Mick and Linda back in the day. I guess that doesn't really help.

I've applied for three jobs at the Leicester Mercury over the last ten years because Linda works there.

I've never admitted that in public. I FEEL FREE.

I've never even heard Prolapse as far as I'm aware (now I feel FREE too!) Are they any good?

They were the best came in the world in the mid 90s. You'd love them, i reckon.

Over 20 bands now confirmed.

I reckon we've got room for another 10 - so all those bands that are umming and aaaring (?) need to get a wriggle on as these spaces will fill up mighty quickly!

If the Bobby McGees don't do 'Tina, This is Matthew Stone' there'll be trouble.

This has to happen, if only as part of a gig at the Red House or somesuch. There's still time.

This seems as good a place as any to ask...

I remember buying a tape mailorder off the band of the complete recording of their set at the Reading Festival, not just the ones that ended up on the Peel Session. Unfortunately, I lost said fantastic tape a number of years ago. Does anyone know where I could get hold of this recording?

I also had that tape, and also lost it. I wonder if Tim from the Validators has any copies in his loft?
