Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow on Mansfield Road.

We haven't watched Hulmerist for a while, have we? We'll have to remedy that soon.

you purchase the baby oil. i'll look on provocatively from beneath a peaked leather cap whilst leaning on a motorbike.

I was listening to Bona Drag the other day. It's a fucking splendid record, that.
you're preaching the converted brother.

fucking tremendous period for his hair as well. i wonder where you can get one of those quiff weaves from.
Absolutely his best. As much for the tracks that should be throwaway but aren't (lucky lisp, disappointed, hairdresser on fire) as for the singles.

'Will Never Marry' is my favourite on that album, I think.

it's the first three singles then everything released post maladjusted. i like they way they've irgnored fifteen years of musical output. bloody stalinist re-writing of history that is.

reissue repackage indeed.
Sorry to quote the entire thing, but that's so, so shit. I imagine that any really big Morrissey fan would have all of those songs. In fact even someone fairly new to him would have a fair whack of them if they'd bought the last couple. Why completely ignore stuff?

I'd have sooner they'd done some kind of random retrospective, picking album tracks rather than singles and actually showing a bit more variety and thought to what they've decided to put out. I guess that might not generate sales though. Rubbish.

Ach! ach Hulmerist!!! It's so brilliant , isn't it?! It still sends shivers down my spine when I watch it. I love everything from this video. The huge queue outside the hall (people had been queuing for 1-2 days, that's crazy!!), the piece/song playing while the camera pans around the queuing crowd (it's an opera piece right? Carmen maybe?), everything is amazing... and Moz's voice is so perfect, tugs at your heart!!

I'll see if I can get half-day off work on Tuesday and queue up outside Roundhouse, just like old times! to see friends, make new ones, count quiffs, possibly spot Julia :-)

I'll have to watch Hulmerist very soon , I think.

When the camera pans along the queue outside Wolvehampton Civic, there's an arm wearing a maroon-coloured shirt, which appears for about 0.14 seconds. That's my mate Chris's arm, that is.

It usually goes on twice at least.

I went to that gig! But I'm not on the video.

I got a right bollocking off my Mum for it.

i would've LOVED to go to that gig. the atmosphere on the video is totally amazing and it must've been even better if you were actually there.

i remember the first time i watched hulmerist and i just felt SO happy that there were tons of people who felt he same way about morrissey and the smiths as i did. i know that must sound really sad and lame but at the time i didn't know anyone else who was obsessively in love with any band at all, nevermind morrissey or the smiths.

then i met this dude who loved them too but he turned out to be a creep. BOO.

All I remember is that it was really, really cold and I didn't have enough money for a can of Coke. I wish I had better memories.

I do like that 'That's How People Grow Up' song a bit. Is it new new, or an old favourite but only now recorded/released new song?

he's released the wrong song as a single! again! the daft tit.

it's a new one recorded along with "all you need is me" for the greatest hits compilation.
