This is all very hard to believe, since there is no proof of any kind, whatsoever....

Was listening to Strangeways again the other night. I still think its the Smiths best album.

I used to have a quiff like that. I miss it, and am strangely satisfied that he fakes his.

I'm not lying; what the fuck kind of pleasure would I get out of that? I love Morrissey. It's a fact that I saw what I saw.

And as for his quiff being fake: a) What he sports now is not fake; b) I witnessed an isolated incident that happened very quickly. I have NO idea if he wore a piece all the time or where or for how long. And it was small--not like his entire head of hair.

Let's get back to talking about how much we love morrissey. Some folks are going to the Miami show--discuss.

I saw this earlier and wanted to say I was very confused about it being called a lie (a miserable one?)

Why would someone lie about such a thing? Also, alongwalkhome is like the honestesticest person ever. She'll tell you all about things that happen to her at the gym.

Miami! Tonight! And I'm totally going with the same friend I have always gone to see Morrissey with everytime for the last um, well, however many years since Kill Uncle. And we have pit tickets! We're going to maybe get touched by Morrissey and be all up close and squeally stupid like we were when we were 16. Yip!

Last time Morrissey played Miami Chloe Sevigny was there and my friend told her she looked just like "that one actress" and then she gave us backstage passes and we sat around back there drinking beer and eating cookies and talking to Boz.

And another time Morrissey threw a shirt into the crowd, and I had my sweater around my waist and some jerkface fanboy guy grabbed my sweater because he thought it was Morrissey's shirt and wouldn't let go and yelled at me to "just fucking let it go."

I did not.

let's not forget this 'alongwalkhome' character is a known drug user and has one child indicating that she probably has some form of sexual history. also she likes cat stevens. and she holds her knife and fork the wrong way. she's just a devil women. ow-oh.

the first time i saw morrissey was probably the best time. oh the spectacle of it all! it was at london's histroic albert hall. i believe 'histroic' is now not a voluntary prefix. it says it on the tickets and everything. probably. waiting outside and finally for once in my life people with quiffs out numbered those without quiffs. the two men with the biggest quiffs were being interviewed next to me for a morrissey documentary. as i waited to enter the hall i realised i was sitting underneath dermot o'leary. even this didn't ruin my evening. i went in and they'd undersold the standing area so we had room to swing as many as four cats tied together end to end. he hadn't played since the maladjusted tour and he did all the good stuff that would later be on you are the quarry and he played it about twice as quick as the album and without the shiny sheen of major label production dullness and it were well good. and he kept wandering over to the left of the stage where i was two rows back to look me deep in the eyes and kneel and sing about touching my bum, honest. and he looks just like Morrissey when you see him live. that morrissey who you only ever see wincing on album covers or grimacing in musical videos. woah! and then he went off for the encore and he came back in a new pink shirt and did, "there is a light" woah! he whipped his freshly unpackaged shirt from his rippling tits and chucked it into the crowd. witnesses would later describe my rush for said shirt as, "explosive". i felt like i covered 10 yards in .25 seconds. i caught the fucking thing! then i was set upon by ravenous morrissey fans. it went dark. ten minutes later everyone has gone home except two score morrissey fans still tugging at a pink gucci shirt. fucking good quality those things. then ... riiipppp success! the group splits as i and three others spin accross the floor with an arm. logic strikes my primordial brain as i cut through the thing with my house keys a get a cuff. i've still got that cuff (badly) framed.

that cuff is still the greatest thing i ever smelt.

later my quiff minus my face would appear in the nme.

i want to see morrissey again. i kind of want to go by myself, get there at 10am, take a lunchbox and a thermos flask then sprint to the front come doors, wedge myself inside the crash barrier and wait. i would even endure kristeen young for this.

i was supposed to see morrissey and his rippling tits at around that time. it would have been my first. he was playing a show at the greek theatre in berkeley. but it was a 21+ show and i was only 19. it was probably the second worst day of my life. the first being the time i found out that moz's quiff was "enhanced" with a weave.

The jealousy stops here.

It seems the show has been canceled.

It was standing when I saw Cat Power there; I can't imagine it with seats in. I might try to go to this. It would be my first time seeing Morrissey and I have heard exactly two of his solo songs. I like them both a lot though.
the trouble with personalities, they're too wrapped up in style
it's too personal; they're in love with their own guile

Ooh. He wasn't great last time I saw him (although a lot of that might have been down to the venue) but I get paid the day before so I bet I end up going into work early and trying to get tickets.

Not sure how many tickets Seetickets get. I expect it'll sell-out in 10-15 minutes. I also need to remember not work that Friday morning.

Has no one posted this yet? I think it's marvellous.

I don't think I can be arsed to go to the Roundhouse. I've seen him twice in the last 18 months as it is

wa-hey. it's nice to hear a morrissey song that doesn't make me go *shrug* . i think coming with zero expectations after the last album means he could record a collection of duets with jonathan king done in a cod-calypso style with boz boorer providing pork pie munching as percussion and i'd probably like it more than that bloody thing.

it's balls out. he needs his balls out more often.

it does sound a bit familiar. but hey my slippers are familiar. i don't want any new slippers. that might not fit right and wearing them in could cause blisters.

i just hope he doesn't get the guy who produced the keane album to record, it or something mental like that, as is his want.

"and you offer me your one and only joke.

what will you be when you grow up

to be a man?

Me?

Nothing!"

ho ho.

Oof. I'm not sure. Maybe it's a grower.

I expect I'll still buy the bloody thing though.

I think it's the first Moz song since 'Sunny' that I thought was brilliant on my first listen. I've played this vid loads of times already and I still love it.

Jamie, are you STILL down on Ringleader of the Tormentors? I've listened to it twice this weekend and I still think it's great. Not the best ever, granted, but still pretty ace

Pablo - you have to remember that Jamie likes Maladjusted.

That new song is great. But when do tickets go on sale? 26th is a Wednesday, not a Friday. I'm deffo going.
