They're one of those bands aren't they? That have been around for years, and you keep seeing the name about, and every time you hear something by them you think "ooh, this is really good!" And yet it's almost like a surprise, "I didn't know they were that good". Why is that?

Coincidink.

I first got in to them in 1998 around the time of In an expression.. but Didn't see them til ATP 2002. I remembered only yesterday how it brought my then girlfriend to tears.

I've only seen them twice, the last time being at the Scala in about 2003/04. They were fucking amazing and totally worth the 2 trips to London in two days due to a last-minute power-outage at the Garage.

Was really looking forward to seeing them again last night, trekking up to Seattle to see them play an overrated music festival but they canceled their set sometime in the afternoon. So it goes, still have the fall US tour to look forward to! Though I don't know if anything will top seeing them play a Sunday Pool Party in Brooklyn a few years back. Truly a unique band who managed to pull off a total shift in style while maintaining a strong catalog and fan base. I love it all!

Likelier to be the gig in That Manchester the day before for me, Ray, if I manage either. Bet they'd be splendid in the Union Chapel, mind.

Just realised I can't make it on Tuesday anyway cos it's the same day as the David Tattersall gig in Brum. I've looked at transport to Manchester - The megabus is a no-go and the train will cost £46 quid!

They're playing Islington again! They have a new album!

I just heard a track off it and it was utterly fucking SHIT.
