I was really pleased to find Spook School doing this - I bloody love Badults, though I can completely see it's something that either clicks with you or doesn't.

The Spook School is featured on our free collaboration compilation "Between Two Waves - The Second Wave" with a song where they collaborate with The Just Joans. Their collaboration name is Ivor MacGyver, and they even made a computer game for the song! :-)

Other artists on the 3 volumed (31 tracks, 62 bands) compilation are Darren Hayman, Tiny Fireflies, Boyish, Lost Tapes, This Many Boyfriends, The Bilinda Butchers, The Very Most, Arts & Leisure, Pale Spectres, Postal Blue, T.O.Y.S. and many, many more. All 3 volumes can be downloaded here as mp3s or FLACs

Is it just my copy, or is the 12" quite... crackly?

No matter how, some really really good songs on it (eventough Here We Go is by far their best one with the beautiful "sensitiveish" guitar in the end).

Went to see it last night - was quite the family occasion, with Nye, and Adam & Nye's parents there too. It was also Adam's birthday, and he was presented with a bottle of his favourite Olive Oil as a present at the end - which in itself is kind of in keeping with the feel of the show.

I enjoyed the show - it was fun. Offbeat, lo-fi, quirky, as you might expect. If you donate £5 or more afterwards, you also get a CD of the songs that they sing in the show (these are not Spook School songs, I should mention!). Possibly subject to availability etc.

New recordings being, erm, recorded! With MJ, just like Weird Sister and Courting Strong (and loads of great stuff otherwise)! https://twitter.com/HOOKWORMS/status/511062383373352960

Thanks for the summerhall clip, was keen to see them but we chose the Just Joans + Thyme Machine at Henrys that night instead. Looking at your other girl effect clips on youtube, I reckon we made the right choice... ;-)
