Bought a copy of the new record at the Leicester all-dayer and I've been listening to it today. It's very, very pretty. Well, I would say that: it's all about trains and the seaside. And Julie's voice is gorgeous.

I really enjoyed the set in Leicester. I totally forgot about the merch stall, though. Even though I was stood right next to it for most of the time I was there.

The Sunbathers are pleased to announce an exciting and (probably) exclusive new release especially for Indietracks!

The physical release will comprise an appropriate Sunbathers artefact (you'll have to wait and see what it is) with a download code for a new song written especially for the occasion and making its live debut on the train on Sunday. It will be FREE to festival goers and will be available from us after the performance, so if you come and see us at 2pm you'll get first dibs! We'll then be spending the remainder of the day trying to foist what's left over on the rest of you! It's a limited edition of 100 and once they're gone they're gone - but if we don't get rid of them on the day, they'll be turning up at gigs until we do (a bit like the herring in Spring and Port Wine).

For anyone who's unable to make it to Indietracks, additional downloads will be available from our new bandcamp. Initially this will be a 'limited edition' and you'll need a code - PM me or email us at info@thesunbathers.co.uk if you would like one - the codes, and a link to the track, will be sent out after 8 July.

In the meantime, there's other stuff on there to listen to, including a couple of songs you can download now for free. A different song from the January, February, March, Ely, Cambridge EP is available to stream at Dufflecoat's soundcloud at http://soundcloud.com/sleeping-today/th ... er-made-me.

Happy listening and we'll see you all at Indietracks. Choo, choo!

It's always a nice surprise when you stumble upon music you like in unexpected places. This time it was 'Summer made me love you' on Stuart Moxham (Young Marble Giants)'s Facebook.

...in case you missed it the artefact was a stick of rock !

These proved to be very popular and the few we had left after our performance were quickly snapped up in the merch tent so unfortunately we don't have any left.

If you did miss out you can still download our new song 'Ocean Blue' - email us at info@thesunbathers.co.uk for a download code

I would just like to say the set at the Sheffield Pop Weekender was sublime. Really rather lovely.

We are very excited to announce that Dufflecoat Records will be releasing the Sunbathers first 7in single in early November. It will feature three previously unreleased tracks: Northfield Lane, Hope and Hopeless Romantic (sorry Owen!).

You can sneak a listen to Hope at the Dufflecoat soundcloud at http://soundcloud.com/sleeping-today/th ... thers-hope.

It's not yet been added to the Duff shop, but once the release date is confirmed you should be able to pre-order it from http://www.dufflecoatrecords.co.uk/releases.html

With a bit of luck we should also have copies for sale at the Proctors/Alpaca Sports/Sunny Street gig on 3 Nov http://www.wegottickets.com/DufflecoatRecords

That's brill news. The EP is wonderful. And I haven't been let down by a Duffle Coat release yet. Is it the first DC 7" that isn't a split?
And we just can't wait to make more mistakes and to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake.

So far I think all the Duff vinyl releases have been solo efforts, except for the Apple Orchard/Proctors split. I do believe, however, that this will be the first 7" they've released that hasn't been a joint venture with another label.

Our new Dufflecoat 7" should be back from the pressing plant this week.

It will come with a lyric insert with a download code so you'll still be able to listen to it even if you haven't got a record player.

..and we'll be promoting it at this:

Hope to see some of you there x
