La Sera is Katy Goodman (from Vivian Girls) and her album is fantastic. So, a thread!

I know it's probably a bit of a stretch, but surprisingly enough her music often reminds me of another Katy, Katy Davidson (Dear Nora/Key Losers).
It's lovely music in any case.

It's very short (most songs, 2 minutes or less), but amazing all the same! After hearing "Never Come Around" and seeing the fabulous video I fell in love immediately.

Pity I missed her when they played Manchester last year.

What a great fringe! And a ginger.
Great single/good album. Only had time.to listen to the album once, but that was one of the singles of the year.

That Never Come Around video was unexpectedly creepy... I don't think I'll ever dare to watch Dexter, but that's what I imagine it's like from what I've gathered.

I really loved the La Sera singles, but the album hasn't quite grown on me yet. (I don't think I've listened to it enough -- right now it feels very repetitive, but I have a suspicion that if I keep listening, it will grow on me.) Listening to La Sera has definitely enhanced the new Vivian Girls album for me, though.

I love the videos that Katy's made for La Sera! (Seemingly) low-budget, campy, very fun.

Only just got the album but I am really enjoying it so far. 'Never Come Around' is my instant hit...
