Vom Vorton

Post by tompony » Tue Nov 30, 2010 19:24

I'm going to make a thread about myself. I hope you don't mind.

Hello! I make music as "Vom Vorton". It is along the same lines as the songs I used to write in Lardpony, but a bit more electronic because I can't actually play the drums / keyboards / souzaphone. After four free solo albums, I have decided to take a risk and charge actual money for my new EP, which I think is the best thing I have done yet.

I have put it on bandcamp: http://vomvorton.bandcamp.com/ and it can also be streamed on muxtape: http://vomvorton.muxtape.com

It looks like this:

Also, here is a nice review from Sam: http://alayerofchips.blogspot.com/2010/ ... ns-ep.html

I also have a gig at Nottingham Bunkers Hill on Saturday, supporting Alberto Veto and Muha. It is free to get in!

I know this sounds lame but I didn't pick one up last Friday, although I did buy a Lardpony one. I'll get one at some point.

Ah, I wondered who had bought a Lardpony one! Thank you, I thought I had reached saturation point and would never sell any more of those.

I couldn't get him out of my head either, such a confused-looking man. Writing a song about him did the trick for me, so I can only suggest that you write a song about how you can't get the song about how I couldn't get him out of my head out of your head.

thanks!

my plans to record a christmas song this year were put on hold by a family funeral, but I've managed to get some kind of basic setup going with a borrowed laptop, so here is a very lo-fi version of Fountains of Wayne's christmas classic, recorded in my sister's bedroom, using my dad's guitar (whistling model's own).

I've been enjoying 'Plots and Plans' lately, so I look forward to downloading this at home later.
