Derby's greatest pregnant band has a thread of its own.

Gasp! What an honour!

But we're not pregnant any more. We're "new parents". Which still prevents us from doing any gigs for ages, unfortunately.

Still - we're doing a Cloudberry single with three new songs - "everyone's fault but mine", "inflammable means flammable" and a new one that might be called "seaside is painless" but I'm really struggling to finish the lyrics. Sometime this Autumn, hopefully!

is Tom pregnant? Wow!

Can't wait to hear the new songs. 'The Greatest Invention Ever' is totally my favourite album of 2007.
It is no coincidence

Really? Hurrah! Send my congratulations to them both. Boy? Girl? Drummer?

A girl, called Eloise. She was born on... Saturday morning, I think? Same birthday as Fred West. I haven't met her yet but I'll drop off some maracas or something and then work up through ukelele, recorder etc. and see if I can get her onto the dulcimer by Christmas.
'The Greatest Invention Ever' is totally my favourite album of 2007.
cheers! I think we're going to make it a free download soon because we don't have any gigs / nobody can get on our website to buy it for some reason / I'm too lazy to print off any more copies of the artwork / free downloads are officially cool now thanks to Radiohead. so anyone who hasn't heard it: watch this space!

I think they were working on the "rather goth than chav" naming system.

we have now also given birth to a free album:

for the reasons outlined above, the second and BEST lardpony album (so far) is now FREE to download.

if you haven't already heard it, check it out! it is indie-pop fun, one review said "the band either sounds like a more-straightforward Bearsuit or a more-manic Pulp, depending on how you look at them" which I thought was quite nice.

How brilliant was the Lardpony comeback yesterday?

Very brilliant, I think.

It was indeed flipping lovely.

You know what though? Mandy's keyboard needs to be louder when they play live. Always. Soundmen never make the keyboard loud enough, especially when the keyboard player is a girl. And the 'pony need to SORT THAT OUT.

But it was indeed flipping lovely and I heart them as much as ever.

The keyboard was REALLY LOUD on stage, so we didn't notice! But yeah, soundmen do seem to hate keyboards for some reason, it's baffling.

Cheers for the nice things you have said!

Welcome back Lardpony!

Any more gigs planned before Indietracks or does the Lardbaby make that a bit difficult?

Yes indeed - the 'pony cantered through the field of love last night in a big way. I reckon the best Lardpony set I've seen

to be honest I thought that the audience was dead good and I didn't notice any chatter at all - which is usually a big problem when you're playing on your own..especially when there was quite a crowd.

I didn't get chance to give you a copy of the remix EP..will bung you one in the post
