Are you sure about the shadow factory place? Never been there but in my sleeve there is a building on the banks of a river with some boats...

You'll need to go to Temple Meads station - which is in itself worth a visit, and appeared in bits on those Sarah postcards.

You can then catch the slow train to Severn Beach (they only do slow trains) - you'll find that the stations along the route correspond to the label pics of certain Sarah 7"s.

Oh, and please don't steal the "There And Back Again Lane" sign!
Cheers!

Me and Oldgreentieon did a mini Sarah pilgrimage back in, oooh, summer 1997, albeit one limited by budget and ingenuity.

We certainly did most of the places on yr map, Tim, but in addition we also caught the bus over to Portishead to have a look around Battery Point. I'm not sure if the photos I took were the same views as on the compilation of the same name as neither of us have ever owned an original copy of it, but it meant enough to us to give it a try.

The trip to Portishead was additionally memorable for me for the stop-off in Nailsea afterwards, where I photographed some nice Robin Hood / Iveco 49.10 minibuses run by the local indie operator and then bought some BBC Micro computer games from the village newsagent (about a decade after you could do this anywhere else in western civilisation). On both counts, Oldgreentieon tried to disown me. In retrospect I'm not sure I blame him.

I think you can see that view from the top of Victoria Street, on the river. I think. It's definitely in Bristol, anyway. I've seen it with me own eyes.

The first time I saw the Glass Arcade I nearly fainted. And the suspension bridge makes me cry, always.

Bristol! <3 <3

We found out about Sarah Records cause it's mentioned in Tullycraft's Twee.

Not sure how cool that makes us!

Hmm

Symptomatic site

http://www.symptomaticpresents.com/

appears to be suggesting The Field Mice are supporting the Woodentops in October at Nambucca.

This seems to be unlikely !

What the actual fuck?

Sure it's not these folk? http://fieldmousemusic.com/

If it IS the Field Mice, then: a) why has no-one mentioned this earlier? b) why are they bottom of the bill? c) Where's Nambucca and should I start camping outside now?

I heard tell on twitter than it's just the keyboardist, and no other original members, plus some randoms.

Is that a joke, Chips? (If I may call you just 'Chips'). Field Mice? The Field Mice?

No! That's what I read on the twitters, so it must be true.

I have no desire to see a reformed Field Mice, so I ended my inquiries right there.

(And of course you may, dear)

Good work, Chips. It's part of a role-play I fantasise about where I'm your grammar school teacher and you call me sir.

someone listed the field mice as playing this gig on another forum I was confused! so I looked on here. I see the flyer on the site has 14 iced bears and some other bands now and no mention of the field mice so I guess 1 is wrong and I'd assume the field mice wont be there.

A couple of months ago Lucy said on Twitter that she was about to finish the editing, so it shouldn't be too long until it's out now. Can't wait!
