Anders was one of my favourite pen pals for a little while! I've never met him in real life, though.

Internet fame?! Yes, I was thinking of going to the Berlin show with that Lars Frodo character off of Bowlie, but I'm not anymore. Jens will definitely be there though, and he is the MOST AWESOME person to go see the Lucksmiths with in the world. It was too much money and I'll get to see them in Oslo and London anyway. (And twice in London even?!)

Are you going to Indietracks Dimitra? I am. See you there?

I think the most amazing person to see the Lucksmiths with is my friend Chris. He lives in Canada though, damn it. But anyway, yes, I am going to Indietracks! See you there!

yep a hard one to resist, one of my favourite venues and a great band. Missed them there last time so why not see them twice in a week.

I've got a spare ticket for Lucksmiths at the Scala next week if anyone's interested? I'mnot so fussed about getting anything for it (though it would be nice), but it'd be criminal to let it go to waste. boo hoo.

PM me if yr interested

Still tickets left for these...

LAST EVER LONDON LUCKSMITHS SHOWS

The Lucksmiths play their last ever London UK shows next week. This is not a hoax. They really are splitting up. You will never see them play again. Come to these shows.

The first is at the lovely Luminaire on Tuesday 7th with a stellar supporting cast handpicked by the Lucksmiths themselves: Gary Olson, playing a set of Ladybug Transistor songs with help from a few friends (who may or may not include some of The Lucksmiths); Nottingham's finest progfolkTinderstickstronica pop outfit The Chemistry Experiment; and the brilliant Still Corners featuring Leon J Dufficy of The Zebras and Hush Arbors.

Tuesday 7th July @ The Luminaire, Kilburn, London

And then, the night after, The Lucksmiths last ever London show at The Scala, with support from genius award-winning comedian Daniel Kitson and Fortuna POP!'s latest signings Allo Darlin'.

Daniel Kitson would be wicked.

Didn't he write liner notes for the Lucksmiths?

I'm just happy that I will definitely see them in the big G. It was a little touch-and-go for a bit.

Yeah, he did, to the "A Hiccup In Your Happiness" EP. I believe the story is that the song was inspired by watching Daniel Kitson take to the stage at the Melbourne comedy festival after being dumped and base his act around it, hence the opening lines "The start is the hardest part / To step outside and announce a newly broken heart", although I think the lyrics changed considerably from the first draft.

Anyway, they're nearly here! Two nights of Lucksmiths in London and then no more, ever. I have conflicting emotions!

I'm very excited. Only seen them once live before shame it's going to be 3 times in total but then 3 special nights I guess.

Doesn't look like they've brought the weather with them does it !

It sounds like the sky is going to explode in this bit of North London and it looks even darker over Kilburn way

Aw, I'm glad you'll finally be seeing them!

I haven't looked at any of the set lists from their recent shows because I want to be surprised. I hope I don't cry!
