Ultrasport

There's no mention of them, let alone a thread about them, here. It says on theirspace that they're R.I.P. Those first songs and that first album, they were so good. The first time I heard The Boy That Never Lied (mp3 here) it really made a difference to my life. Few songs have done that.

Thanks Martijn, I'd been thinking about starting an Ultrapsort thread - I wouldn't want them to be overlooked.

'Sharing Secrets' was the first thing I heard on a Humblebee compilation, I must have played it 100's of times. The album was great too, the lead singer has such a sweet voice and the band could really play.

I've never heard the second album, was there one? I thought I'd heard some new tracks where they'd gone a bit rock.

They had gone, yes. It's still quite good though. Not as good as the first one, but I don't think anything could have been as good. I think they were the main reason why I went (back) to Helsinki four years ago. They were kind enough to put me up (and to put up with me).

Yeah, Ultrasport. I have the first album. Brilliant. I never caught the second one. Didn't even know they had released one. But that's no surprise, I'm totally clueless.
New Postal Blue single out now on Cloudberry Records.
There are still copies of our Road to Happiness CD-EP here.

Oooh yeah, at the time I elected "Nothing can go wrong" as my fave 2005 album on the Tweenet poll.
I wish I had one of those 3 initial CDr EP's from 2001/2002/2003...
Does anybody own them ?

I have the third and final one, Mieto. When I bought it, the first two had already sold out, so I doubt if many copies had been made. Most songs of the EPs appeared on their debut album though.

I believe I have that one too. A very battered copy of it that is.
