Fly Me To The Moon is on a spare hard drive somewhere, but Dreaming is freely downloadable from http://soundcloud.com/sweeping-the-nati ... t-dreaming

I don't suppose anyone knows what the chords are to 'Dreaming'?
Mark holds his guitar neck out of shot in the video, and youtube resolution doesn't help me see the Uke chords. I've messed about with C, F, Em and G but I'm sure that's not right.

I "transposed" it to a different key... hem hem, also known as "made it easier for me to play" and I think it's pretty much all D and G, maybe with Em and A in the other bits, the way I do it.

Thanks Mark! Look's like I was trying in C and wondering why it all went wrong after the first bit.

On a similar note, thanks for putting that PDF with chords/lyrics/notes/interviews/etc on Regardez/Ecoutez/Repetez. Great stuff!

It would be better if you called it KRAZY KHRISTMAS KLEAROUT.

But then that would be KKK. So maybe not.

That was PRECISELY my near-perilous thought process. "I could call it the ... oh no, hang on..."!

Christmas Number One: We did it!!

MJ Hibbett & The Validators would like to thank everyone who helped them to achieve their aim of NOT getting to Christmas Number One this year.

"We're especially excited", says MJ Hibbett, "because, with the possible exception of Simon Cowell, we're the only group whose Christmas Number One campaign was in any way successful!"

The campaign began a few weeks ago when the band decided NOT to try and get their Christmas single "The 29th Day Of December" to the top of the charts. "So many people try for the Christmas Number One these days that it's become routine", said violinist Tom 'The Tiger' McClure. "We decided to go the other way - and succeeded!"

"The 29th Day Of December" was accompanied by a stop-motion animation which has similarly managed not to top the YouTube charts. "That wasn't part of our original intention", says drummer Tim Pattison, "but it's a nice extra Christmas present for all of us."

The advantages of the band's victory are many. Just this morning bass player Frankie Machine didn't have to get up extra early to appear on "Daybreak" to talk about it. Singer Emma Pattison, meanwhile, didn't have to cancel an appearance on The Andrew Marr show when her flight home was delayed by snow. "Being stuck in an airport was stressful enough", she remarked by telephone, "without having to reschedule TV appearances!"

Now that the campaign has achieved its goal the group are happy to relax for the festive period. The album is still very much available to buy online from http://www.mjhibbett.com/christmas/ and if anybody now wants to purchase it The Validators will not stand in their way. "It still won't get to number one, because it's not registered for the charts," says MJ, "But if millions of people want to suddenly buy it there's not much we can do about it, except to say thanks very much, and Merry Christmas!"

Evening all - for those who might be interested but don't get the newsletter, over the weekend I finished off my February Album Writing Month album, "Wonderful Wednesday" and will be releasing it in a couple of weeks.

The EXCITING AND URGENT aspect of all this, however, is that it's only ever going to be available to pre-order for the next FIVE DAYS - after that there will be no more physical copies, as it'll be a strictly limited numbered edition. I'll stick it on bandcamp and maybe iTunes, but those versions won't come with a FREE BADGE.

Oh yes, the CD version will have a BADGE! EXCITEMENT!

If anyone fancies ordering one all the details are right here:

http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/releases/rel ... lwednesday

or you can preview the tracks on my FAWM page, here:

http://fawm.org/fawmers/mjhibbett/

Be warned tho: features GUITAR SOLOS!

Bargain hunters of the world unite, for LO! this month the MJ Hibbett & The Validators online shop is having a BIG SALE where you can get our most recent album, 'Forest Moon Of Enderby' for just THREE QUID, or our THREE most recent releases for SIX quid, HERE:

"What madness is this?" you may ask. The answer is simple: I've just sent off our NEXT album to the factory for manufacturing and desperately need some shelf space.

So yes, if you fancy some CHEAP and yet WELL TOOLED music, pop along to the shop and go KRAZY!

There's an exclusive forthcoming release by MJ Hibbett (and possibly The Validators) in my October show on http://www.dandelionradio.com.

The show comes round in the loop once a day - have a look at the schedules page on the website to find out when you can hear it.

There's also a new exclusive session from Tender Trap, recorded in my kitchen last month, as well as tracks from the Veronica Falls album, and, well, loads of other ace stuff!
Cheers!

Rocker

Listen to my show at http://www.dandelionradio.com - the internet radio station inspired by John Peel.

So, our new album was supposed to come out on Monday just gone, but got delayed because our manufacturers f**ked up the packaging. After a week of "negotiations" they finally agreed to re-do them, and they were due to arrive on Friday. It meant we didn't have CDs for the gig in Nottingham and I had to re-do lots of scheduling but still, not the end of the world - it would be out on November 28th.

Now I've had an email saying they've come out looking crap AGAIN, will need repressing AGAIN and they don't know when they'll be ready.

AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why someone invented Record Companies isn't it?

SO: we'll be putting the release date back to the New Year. I'm hoping to have copies for sale via the webpage in 3 or 4 weeks, once I go with a new company (I'm thinking Key Production this time, as people seem to like them).

Bugger and bollocks!!

I'm still not sure if the copy you gave me was a decent one from the awful batch or if you're just obsessively perfectionist. I've had it examined in several government labs and nobody can find anything wrong with it at all...
