what would you like your thread to be called, pete?

I can change it from 'Pete Green sings songs with a message' to something more preferable (to you)

"Pete Green sings songs with a massage"

Ooh, I dunno... anything that doesn't say "message". Or "troubadour"!

I went for a simple but effective exclamation mark

if you want me to put more emphasis on it I could precede your name with the word 'Fucking' but it may lead to confusion

have you got any records out, pete? if so where can people get them and do you have a myspace page?

Oh jeez...I sense a confrontation.....;)
It's so easy when the door is wide open.

Pete's lovely first record is out now on Atomic Beat Records and you can buy it from the site via paypal or from Pete at one of his popshows or from our various outlets around the world. And beyond. By beyond I mean you can also buy digital downloads. All the information is on the website.

But if you buy the 7" vinyl you get free mp3s of all the songs on the record! How ace is that. I reckon you should buy the vinyl. Limited to 400 numbered copies. Eee!

Look at this beauty:

Hello. I'm a reviewer.

Here's what I said about it:
Another release on Atomic Beat Records. This time it's from pete green. Another 7" single. This time with three songs to devour.

Pete green deals in quirky pop/folk songs. Lead song "Everything I Do Is Gonna Be Sparkly" is a rather good little song. It took me a few listens to fall for it - but fall I have - a strummed guitar sets the tone for the whole of the 7". "Sparkly" has the most instrumentation on show and I am sure I even heard some drums during the chorus - but for the most part, pete green and his guitar are the order of the day.

Next up is 'Take Your Time' which laments the fact that everything is rushed or new these days. A song that celebrates old things and taking your time. This is probably my favourite of the three songs on the single - pete seems to have a knack of writing some rather enchanting little songs. Beautiful.

The final song is entitled "The Ballad of Phil Jevons" an ode to a journeyman footballer - I'd only heard of Mr Jevons through my time gaming with Championship Manager/Football Manager games. I'd never ever thought I'd be able to work in a reference to footie games into a review. Thanks to pete green's offbeat and often funny tale of Phil Jevons I have managed it. A result. In more ways than one - as this is a fine little single. If you wanna hear some fun and quirky pop folk - look no further.

Cor! Ta, all!

I don't know why I'm talking like a character from the Beano circa 1961.

Oooh lumme!

I'm going to kill my own thread at this rate.

I'm gonna try and make it along to see you and the Hibbett man in Glasgow.

Although I'm a bit scared of The Captain's Rest as you can't see in the windows from the outside.

I feel all left out of the Atomic Beat gang here, because Pocketbooks don't have a thread about them. :(

Possibly for the best right now, mate - I've got quite a lot on me plate at the moment anyway. Thanks for trying - hope it comes together at some point!

It must. It's destined. The Japanese bloke who came from the future told me.

"Book the humblebee - save the world."

I watch too much telly.
