Great, but how about splitting after you'd played or would that defeat their "point"?
I dunno. I admire any band who know when to call it a day. And personally an acoustic set on a train would've been the wrong way to end for a band famed for their feedback drenched shows.

Also - If they'd decided to split - seeing a show where they weren't 100% into it wouldn't have been the best way to see the band.

A shame you never saw them, mind. But, them's the breaks.

Yeh but I've only just got over not getting into see Joy Division play
the Nashville back in 1979.
How long before I recover from this?
It was easy, it was cheap, go and do it!

Gutted by this sad news of course... but hopeful for their various new projects!

Have put a vid from the Medusa Snares' Indietracks train set up on my Facebook page - their version of "Kessler Syndrome" - will link to it from the Facebook MLS page.
Cheers!

I just got the Deluxe Edition album thing. 2 months ago I had the chance to go see them (and POBPAH) in York (in York! Nobody plays here!) and I didn't go, I was either coming off nights or on an early the next day so was tired.

I WANT TO POKE MY OWN EYES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't believe I didn't go and now they are gone. Can somebody invent a time machine please? Ta.

But Trev you can't be in the same space/time location as yourself - just look at what happened to The Brigadier in the Mawdryn Undead.

SQRL 40/BOX 026 - THE MANHATTAN LOVE SUICIDES - MORE HEAT ! MORE PANIC ! - LIMITED EDITION RED VINYL VERSION

The Manhattan Love Suicides burnt bright between 2006 and 2009. Taking their ferocious sonic assault all over the UK and further afield to New York (The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart formed to support them at a Loft Party in Brooklyn) and SXSW in the USA (twice). They released one full rough and raw sounding studio LP, a clutch of 7" singles and EPs, plus a bumper 27 track compilation CD in their 4(ish) years together.

In 2009, the band came to an unexpected halt. Darren and Caroline regrouping as The Blanche Hudson Weekend, while Adam John Miller returned with T.O.Y.S and former side projects The Wednesday Club and The Medusa Snare. That, so we thought, was that for The Manhattan Love Suicides.

At the tail end of 2013, a new song appeared completely out of the blue on YouTube - ‘(Never Stop) Hating You’. A rough mix, and unmastered, but a taste of what was to come. The band were back ! They’ve since gone on to play a handful of ‘comeback’ shows, including the Odd Box Weekender, Indietracks and the Nottingham Pop All Dayer in 2014. More shows are coming in 2015.

The band have teamed up with Odd Box and Squirrel Records to release their second full length LP, ‘More Heat! More Panic!’ which once again shows there are none better at delivering 3 minute buzzsaw guitar attacks. This record also showcases a band comfortable in trying new things and tempering the noise with a tender side. But noise fans can rest assured that the band haven’t forgotten about their fuzz pedals. This album delivers all the noise and fury you’d expect. It also delivers a few things that might just surprise you.
