this bit was also pretty funny

Ratio male to female of an average Tullycraft audience?
Sean: I’d say 55% girls / 45% guys
Jeff: I’d say it’s pretty evenly split too. Probably some Hermaphrodites too! Tullycraft don’t judge you on your sex.
Corianton: Unless your sex isn’t very good.
all i ever wanted was a happy happy heart!

Rkight--first observation--they kicked EVERYONE's ass. I'm not crazy about t'craft's recorded music--really cuz I just don't like the lead singer's voice. BUT FUCKin' hell, they tore the house down live and the singer's voice was drowned out by loud instruments.

I'm drunk.

They played that in Boston last week and I had it in my head all weekend! I honestly have to say, I love the gloombuttons version even more.

I think it's possible the very tall one from Tullycraft is moonlighting as a surgeon, and that he removed my gallbladder yesterday morning.

I don't know how new it is but I heard the Tullycraft single "On Tape" on this great radio show this morning. It's a split Happy Happy Birthday to Me single with the Smittens. It was REALLY ace and the lyrics were super clever. The latest album still hasn't grown on me but this song was brilliant. HHBTM's web site is well lo-fi so I couldn't glean much more info about it from there either.

That Tullycraft/Smittens split is part of that HHBTM singles club, that's why you can't see it on the website. So it's good, huh? Pop Kid subscribed to the singles club so I'll get him to play it to me (before I steal it).

Apparently it's part of HHBTM's singles club, which I'm not a member of. I have no idea if there's any other way to get the single! I also can't find it on their website, to be honest.

The song 'On tape' is originally by The Pooh Sticks. I've heard The Smittens cover The Angels' 'My boyfriend's back' for this.

Yes, I'd like to have this too.

Did not know that! Guess Tullycraft ain't so clever after all. ;-)

The radio show DJ played the Smittens cover too. It was alright, but the Tullycraft song was wicked.

I'm SO late with that answer. I missed Crystalball's answer completely, because I'm that slow.

There's the Pooh Sticks with 'On tape' (on radio with John Peel introducing). Let me know if you find the Tullycraft version somewhere. Please?

Jen, I'll send it to you when I get home (if not, remind me later please!)... Though to be honest I'm not that excited with the On Tape cover of Tullycraft, I don't like it much :p.

It doesn't come close to the amazing Pooh Sticks version on Peel. That's the definitive version, with that "Im alright with you" at the end... that's a wicked recording!

Oh aye! You can come around and have listen but you'll be handcuffed first. Erm.. yeah.

The cover is kind of ok - all seems a bit too obvious Tullycraft covering that song. The Smittens cover is much more fun.

I think the Poison Control Center and Ideal Free Distribution 7" was the best of the recent HHBTM singles.

You can now get this from the Tullycraft website too, without having to join the singles club (which I just did anyway):

Be quick if you want one!
