There was some Dorotea later on in the infamous DJ set on the Friday too!

When we picked out the songs we were going to play that night it was based entirely on what pop songs that we like to dance to! With an 8 person DJ marathon there was always going to be some mixed results, and as Rich likes to dance to Drake as much like I like to dance to Dorotea, that is what we played.

Another wonderful Indietracks though, and it was lovely to see some many familiar and friendly faces.

I certainly had a grand time music wise but I have to admit I wasn't massively excited by a lot of the bands this year (either through having seen them loads and loads and loads already or some not being to my taste) but the music is a small part of why I love the indietracks weekend and I certainly saw some cracking sets. I missed a fair few things I'd like to have seen too, but them's the breaks when you have a merch stall to run and one of your stall workers for the weekend was a no show.

My golden rule with the pizza is to only ever order it on the Friday, because otherwise I'm always in too much of a hurry to wait that long.

Highlights :

The Aislers Set
Secret Shine
Trust Fund
Flowers
Soda Fountain Rag

Iko Cherie and Nervous Twitch

The burgers !

All the nice people I chat with over the week-end, including band members and staff from Midland Railway, the great time spent with the other volunteers at the festival or at the campsite

Lowlights :

Such an amazing week-end that I lost the will to keep on exploring UK afterwards, sure that nothing could ever match it. But no regrets, that's probably how it was supposed to be. Maybe next year I'll cycle across Scotland and the Lake District before heading to the festival :)

I'd love to see the Luxembourg Signal next year, the Field Mice getting back together, same for the Pale Saints !

Can I start the campaign to have Expert Alterations back next year please? They are like having four shy Niall Spook Schools rocking about the place. I think they may have a pretty serious Buckfast habit.
And we just can't wait to make more mistakes and to fluff our breaks, and to stuff our faces with cake.

Yes! I missed them :-(. I really wanted to see them but they clashed with Bearsuit and Pete Dale.

I got asked for Beyonce, which we didn't have, but that probably says more about our night than the collective musical taste of Indietracks. We did play Icona Pop because I love that record and love to dance to it. Drake would have probably gone down better in the campsite disco, where there is a bit more of an anything goes approach. I even found myself dancing to Dire Straits, but don't tell anyone.
You're giving me flashbacks! I definitely asked for Beyonce! :-)

I actually have a real soft spot for a lot of Urban music - it goes with my style of dancing best.

Yours was the only request we couldn't sort out sadly. Sorry. (Though I did get quite a ticking off outside the Sunday campsite for not playing any Mary Chain, which was fair enough). The limited time and limited CD's put pay to that. We do 'drop' Beyonce at Just Like Honey proper, and we did play Candi Staton, which always satisfies my inner diva.

I saw Indietracks past in the form of, say, Bearsuit, and Indietracks present in the form of, say, the Spook School. Who did people think were Indietracks future? Who could be a headliner in four years time?

I can't stop listening to that Trust Fund LP, it could be the 3rd best album Weezer never released :)

Another band that would be great for the next edition : Kairon;Irse !

I'd say Robberie. Although I missed them, due to them clashing with Just Joans
