I was thinking maybe the church would get emptied so the techs could set up the light show in the break before HS. But I'm probably wrong...
Even if the church is emptied before, there are chances that it will be full before HS start the show, so we probably will have to chose. That's why I wrote "depending if there's still room".

I've never seen anyone performing on a train. Maybe THIS is the year. MAYBE.

So Gopals are back this year. Does that mean the burrito van is not coming? Lovely as Gopals is, I do love a burrito.

Gopals are back? as the kids would say - totally amazing balls! (or something) surely there's room for a burrito stall AND Gopals, we need a varied diet. also if both were there then i could live the dream of having a curry burrito!

The burritos last year were outstanding.

But Gopals... that IS the taste of Indietracks (with a pint of dayglo cider)

If everything goes to plan, we'll have the following caterers:

a) Gopals Curry Shack - vegetarian and vegan curry and rice, pakoras etc - under the new management of Heather and Mel
b) Cafe Ooh La La: vegetarian and vegan cafe: wraps, home made soup and hotpot, veggie hot dogs etc - they came last year and will have an extended menu this year.
c) Los Amigos: burritos and other fresh, healthy Latin streetfood. A different company to last year, but hopefuly just as brilliant!
d) Carnival of Food: burgers, hot dogs, sweets and confectionery - for the seventh consecutive year at Indietracks!
e) Johnson's Buffet: railway canteen food, burgers, pasta, veggie and vegan options, fish and chips, rolls, cakes etc

You can also bring your own food into the festival, but no alcohol is allowed on site for licensing reasons.

I may actually start planning what I'm going to eat on which day.

Is that taking it too far?

Was just thinking the same thing. We need a Clashfinder for food.

Nobody should ever play for longer than an hour. Although Herman Dune in 2011 seemed like they were on for about a week.

Heh, you say "only" but we often have bands asking us if it would be OK to play a shorter set. And we say "Yeah!". It's not Woodstock.

Yep - there are very few bands who can play longer than an hour without my attention wandering.
An hour is 15 songs - thats plenty.

half an hour for any band seems fair to me, if you can't say it in 30 minutes you're probably not sure what it is you want to say, if you even have anything to say, that is

a 40 minute set seems like proggy excess to me

a band playing for an hour? that's like wagner's ring cycle (and in this instance I mean the furry burst mattress bloke off 'britain's got talent' and his amazing laundromatic arse)

if it must be an hour I want something with chips in a basket, a table, chairs, a lovely charming companion and bottle of rioja with cigars for me and a tiramisu for the lady, if there happens to be a lady- anything less is not acceptable- oh, and the band better have dancers, because an hour is a show and I expect spectacle if I'm having to sit there for an hour and puff up some no mark band's sagging egos

so, in summary, a 30 minute set = you rule
40 minutes = I may wander off
60 minutes = it better be spectacular... it just better be

that's reasonable, surely?
