Murray, you're veering close to outrage there.

I, for one, welcome the new rival to Indietracks; Iaindietracks, held at Southampton bus station, last weekend in July.

Blimey, I thought Murray was recommending ourselves to play Indietracks 2013 for a few seconds then. Ah, back to reality again.

The Hi Life play Indietracks - no - you're better than that.

And Murray - are you stalking me? I've heard of Big Brother, but really.

I know Sam can't resist having a dig too - but why Southampton Bus station? That's very random. In fact i don't think there even is a bus station in Southampton!! Do you like hanging around bus stations Sam?

Anyway - nuff said.

Yes. I find it helps when I'm catching a bus. Nuff said. Or are you insinuating something else?

Back on topic, I'd like to see Baffin Island play, and Hi Life Companion!

Thankyou and thankyou! We are edging ever closer to resuming live action again and will be in touch!

Feeling all warm and fuzzy in the West Country now!

Of course I’m not stalking you, Iain, but I always seem to notice when you post your negative comments. Seeing as pretty much everybody who organises Indietracks and London Popfest posts on Anorak, your comments always seems deliberately and provocatively surly, rude and negative. It wouldn’t be so bad if you provided some constructive criticism or suggestions of your own, but you just knock the efforts and hard work of everyone involved including organisers and performers. This comment alone:

The Hi Life play Indietracks - no - you're better than that.

… is deliberately rude and belittling of Indietracks. Isn’t it? No one’s denying the Hi Life Companion are a great band, but only you are knocking Indietracks. Again.

Anyway, I too would like to vote for Hi Life Companion, as well as Tullycraft, Loveninjas, Keel Ker and Young Romance.

Oh yeah, while I’m here; Dennis, your list includes Blue Minkies and The Blue Minkies, so they’ve actually got more vote(s)… hurrah!

Murray - Actually - i don't think I knocked "Indietracks" at all - i was simply moaning about the quality of the bands on the wishlist to date - surely, these two things are different ?

It's nice to have a credible festival that puts on the more obscure and lesser known bands - but you have to keep it at a certain standard or the credibility of the festival goes out the window. I'm sure the organisers know this. I wish them every success for 2013.

So, I'll ask again, what makes the Popguns and Close Lobsters any more of a draw than the bands mentioned by others previously? Ultimately, aren't people just idly daydreaming what bands they'd like to see on the bill? As, I presume you are... so why wade in to tell us what a bad list it is when ultimately it's just some names being kicked around? Team Indietracks aren't beholden to pick bands from the one's mentioned here... why so surly, curly?

How would you define a 'credible festival'? What's the criteria? What the certain standard that makes a band credible enough to appear at Indietracks? I'm interested.

I look at that list and I haven't heard of lots of them, have heard of but not listened to some of them, am intrigued by lots of them, really love some of them, and am in one of them. We won't be playing as we played this year* but we'll be going, whoever is playing - Isn't part of the charm of Indietracks going and finding new bands to love who you hadn't heard before? Or do you already know and have an opinion on all the bands in that list?

*Not that we'd assume we'd be asked back anyway but you get the point

Speaking of smelly old bands reforming cos they're having a mid-life crisis, can we please have The Shop Assistants? Cos, like, I would really like to see The Shop Assistants. All the other old bands can go choke on Werther's though for all I care.

Take THAT, fogies!

It would really make Indietracks stand out from the other festivals. Except maybe V or something.
