Be lovely for A Fine Day For Sailing to be given a chance...

Otherwise, and sticking to bands that haven't played, here's a few more ideas:

The Sexual Objects
The Tartans
The Mad Scene
The Tyde
The Clean
Summer Cats
Bunnygrunt
The Honeyheads
Tap Tap
Lets Wrestle
Martin Bramah (Factory Star/The Blue Orchids)
Me!

The 3Ds

...whilst i'm not convinced it's likely to happen, i'll cheerfully second the nomination for Superchunk as well!

Frankie Machine and Withered Hand would both be stunning in the church.

Wow, thanks for the OMAMA recommendations! I would absolutely love to play next year, I really hope we can.

I would love to see:

SUBURBAN KIDS WITH BIBLICAL NAMES!
Jens Lekman
The Radio Dept
Jeffrey Lewis
Darren Hayman
Stairs to Korea
My Psychoanalyst

And I second Frankie Machine in the church!

Oh, and also any new project from the Pants Yell! guy that may materialise between now and then...

Isn't it about time Bearsuit played somewhere that wasn't Norwich? I'd love to see them at Indietracks - did they play the first year?

On the 'bands reforming for one gig at Indietracks' tip, it would make my year if Picture Center played (given that there's no hope of Trembling Blue Stars playing live...)
The Seven Inches - give them a proper stage to bounce around!
Their Hearts Were Full of Spring
Buddy
The Icicles
Doggy, Skittle Alley or Pale Blue Eyes would be brilliant too.
Trapdoor Minotaur!
And Jonathan Richman would be IMMENSE.

And I'd probably cut my own arm off for The French Defence to play in the church (too quiet for the train!). Although that would most likely hamper the performance, thinking about it...

For me, just having an Indietracks next year would be awesome. But if I could request some bands, some of which are pie in the sky thinking, then I would have:

The Lucksmiths
Mountain Goats
Jens Lekman
Superchunk
Los Camposinos
Jason Anderson
The Thermals
Darren Hayman (or even better, a reunited Hefner)
Mates of State
Field Mice
Bear Driver
Allo Darlin
Jukebox the Ghost

That would be just about perfect.

Francois and his current live incarnation would be a superb headline act for the church - would hate to see the delicacy of the music compromised in the big shed, though.

I was lucky enough to catch him in the Betsey Trotwood last November and it was the best performance I saw outwith Indietracks all year. Lovely, charismatic frontman as well as a boundlessly creative human being, too.

my socks would be knocked clean off if that happened

also, he'd be perfect for everyone who wants someone a bit like springsteen but appreciates indietracks probably can't afford actual springsteen

Oh, go on then..

Obviously, just Indietracks happening is more than enough. I'd probably go if it were just popkids and a couple o' discos. But if we're naming names..

Humousexual
Milky Wimpshake
Lucksmiths (It's a WISH lest)
Jef Lewis
Frankie Machine
Lesbo Pig
Figurine
La Casa Azul
Supercute/Teen Anthems
Helen Love
The Icicles
Ace Bushy Striptease
The Motifs
Go Sailor
Spearmint
Rough Bunnies
Diskettes (Or any David Barclay Outfit)
Bikini Kill
Mogul
Photobooth
I'm just picking daft bands now and there's no point so I'll stop.
I am struck speechless by the nape of your neck.
