Indietracks - The Blog. Latest news and gossip!

Post by Nat » Sat Mar 22, 2008 13:28

Hiya,

Just a little note to let you know that over at Indietracks Towers we've set up a cuddly new blog containing all the latest news from the festival, including new additions to the bill, interviews with bands, competitions and lots more!

We'll be putting up links to new posts in this thread, and we've also set up an RSS feed on the blog itself so that you can subscribe to receive the latest news.

If you have fond memories of last year and are interested in writing a piece for the blog, we'd love to hear from you! Articles don't have to be long, no more than 500 words or so, and you should e-mail them to indietrackspress@gmail.com Don't be shy - we know how much you Anorak lot chatter on....!

Do let us know if you have suggestions for things you'd like to see added to the blog too...

Look forward to hearing from you!

Nat xx

Hi everyone,

We've recently posted up an interview with Stuart Mackay, Indietracks organiser, where he tells us how he came up with the idea for the festival, as well as what he's most looking forward to at this year's event. It certainly sounds as though he's got a few surprises in store!

Don't forget - if you would like to write a piece for the blog, or have any ideas about what you'd like to see included, do get in touch at indietrackspress@gmail.com

Look forward to hearing from you!

Hi everyone,

We've been merrily updating the Indietracks blog over the last few weeks.

If you pop over there now you'll find interviews and free MP3 downloads from Slow Down Tallahassee, The Bobby McGees and Brontosaurus Chorus.

There's also a lovely interview with Indietracks organiser Stuart, plus other assorted news and gossip.

And there's lots more to come - thanks to everyone who's writing something, and please keep the contributions and ideas coming in!

Hi there, just a quick post to update you on what’s been happening on the Indietracks festival blog over the last month or so...

We’ve had interviews and free MP3 downloads with lots of the bands appearing at this year’s festival, such as Strawberry Story, The Middle Ones, Tortoise Shout!, The Mai 68s, Town Bike and Slow Down Tallahassee.

We’ve had some Anorak regulars writing about their experiences of the festival and indiepop generally, including Sam from A Layer of Chips and Emma from Pocketbooks.

And we’ve also had news updates on Darren Hayman and The Wave Pictures and ran a Kabeedies CD competition!

And… there’s loads more to follow over the next couple of months – as well as the latest news, there’ll be articles from MJ Hibbett, Pete Green and others, more free downloads, more competitions and more interviews! We’ve only just begun, as the Carpenters might say… :-)

Do pop over, have a look and feel free to send over ideas, contributions etc.

Hiya,

I'm sure you're all thoroughly addicted to the indietracks blog by now, but for those at the back of the class making paper aeroplanes and graffiting the desks, here's what's been added recently:

* a fun quiz - how 'indietracks' are you?
* exclusive articles from Pete Green and MJ Hibbett
* interviews with Darren Hayman, Town Bike, The Rosie Taylor project and more...
* free MP3s and Indietracks posters for everyone
* general news, merriment and over-excitement

And there's lots more to come over the next two months! As always, please PM me or Nat if you want to write anything for the blog.

Hiya,

Just to let you know that the all-new Indietracks blog is now up and running, kicking off properly today with an interview with Zipper.

As last year, we'll be featuring band interviews, giving away free mp3s (different to those on the official Indietracks compilation) and just generally helping you to while away the time until Indietracks with gossip, quizzes and all sorts!

If you would be interested in writing a piece for the blog, do contact us on indietrackspress@gmail.com with your ideas. You can write about absolutely anything -from your reflections on previous festivals to top hair/fashion tips for the weekend! We'd love to hear from you!

See you all soon (ish) - only 15 weeks and two days to go!

gutted. i'm actually dead sad. i counted some of those goats as amongst my best pals.
Fewer people have taken part in New Deal training schemes at the farm over the past two years – and sessions ceased all together last September.
if you've got the misfortune to get sent on a new deal course goat stroking sounds like a pretty good one to go on.
When the people are being beaten with a stick, they are not much happier if it is called 'the People's Stick.'

Today we launched our Indietracks 2012 quiz on the blog! There's 22 fun and educational questions about this year's festival and the winner will receive a fantastic vintage steam railways 2013 calendar, plus huge indiepop respect. Please send any entries by 2pm on Wednesday 4 July.

We've also had some great interviews on the blog this year, including with The Vaselines, The Monochrome Set, Darren Hayman, Standard Fare, Tender Trap and The June Brides. Do have a read through, if only to stumble across a few of the quiz answers!
