Adventures in Unemployment Zine

Post by Emilie » Mon Jan 10, 2011 05:41

Can I talk about a non-music zine? I guess if you don't want to read about it, you can quickly click on something else...

Anyway, my zine is about unemployment, an issue that I'm sure a lot of people can relate to. I just started selling it on Etsy. My shop is here:

I've done two issues so far. The first one is more humorous and deals primarily with my personal experience. The second is more serious and deals more with larger issues, but still has some funny parts. If my job situation keeps going the way it has, there may be a third. ;-)

Thanks much for the comments! I had a job between the 2 zines, but yeah, it's been a long time now...

These are lovely, Emilie. Got the package the other day and I've been reading them in bed this morning, surrounded by tissues and bottles of cough syrup. They are the perfect accompaniment to Dorotea.

I posted this earlier, but I think I somehow managed to accidentally delete it. ANYWAY..

I only oreder my zines the other day, so I still gotta wait. But I'm already thinking that maybe I should've ordered in bulk for my fledgling distro.

Also, Emilie, I think I sent you some zines once? Some City Sackers perhaps?

Yay! :) (But, not about your unemployment, unless you're going 'yay' about it!)

Yes! When I got the order on Etsy I didn't realize it was you. You sent me a lot of stuff actually! Your zines, vegan literature, and a CD that I meant to ask you the tracklisting of, but forgot. So I suppose I owe you some free stuff, but I'm a newbie to zine etiquette!
