prices

How do you decide on how much to sell your zine for?

The few I own range in price from $2.50 to $7.

It's only going to cost me about 98 cents to produce but shipping costs quite a bit.

It's a good 28 pages but I can't help wondering, "who would actually want to pay $3 for something that I made?"

i think the most o've paid is about £4, so that's around $7. I think $3 is very reasonable if that includes postage in your part of the world.
I am struck speechless by the nape of your neck.

I'm thinking of just going to the post office and asking how much average shipping would be around North America, then charge a flat rate of a bit more than that.

I'd be losing money if I were to send copies overseas but I'd be making money for ones I'd be handing out in person so it could balance out.

After serious consultation with a specialist, I decided not to lose a ton of money on it and just charge everyone the actual shipping costs. It's a normal thing to do, I agreed.

The € 0,50 for the zine is mostly symbolic, but partly a compensation for the paper, ink, stapler et cetera I bought for it (and for the risk of losing my job after printing a ton at work!).
