What?! You don't like pineapple on pizza? I'm not sure I can even bear to comment on your tracks...

...but I will! 'Back in Training' reminds me of the Magnetic Fields, which is a very good thing. I might like 'Savoury Man' a little bit, but I'm a sweet sugar lover so it's very hard for me to unbiased.

In other news, my organ's broken (not the MicroKorg, the crappy old one off eBay). It was last seen working when Concrete was tinkering with it. Hmmm.
Just be nice to me.

Sorry! I think pineapple on pizzas is just about the worst thing that mankind has ever developed. I might retitle the song "Savoury Man (IMO)".

Thanks for the kind words on the other song, though.

Have you guys got anything recorded yet? I like listening to songs.

We've got the main body of the songs down, but no vocals as yet. Plus we're waiting for Andrew's electronic drums, so I'm not sure he'd be happy to put them online with the computer drums we've put on for now. We'll see though, as they are very near completion. They'll definitely be online at the end of the month at the very least.

No songs about pancakes, unfortunately, as I'm a pathetic lyricist who can only write about thing that don't make sense.
Just be nice to me.

I've got about four songs in my head that I need to somehow use a computer keyboard to get to appear on my screen. If I can fire them off tomorrow, I'll be back on schedule.

Titles are:-

That song is brilliant - I love it! Even if you don't get enough songs, you should be proud of the ones you have done. I'm jealous of your lyrical ability.

We have five songs near completion (vocals/mixing needed) and another one part way through. Yesterday's was the the most complicated so far. One will be instrumental, so I guess that means three songs to write with melody and lyrics. I can't believe I've managed to write five songs in 16 days (Andrew wrote the sixth song).
Just be nice to me.

Just got up to ten songs now - i thought it was going really easily last week, but I also have fallen slightly.

Excitingly my first song, "Alan Moore", was on the Neil Gaiman blog yesterday. YIKES!

Thank you! I've been really struggling with lyrics recently so I'm dead pleased to have written four songs that I'm pleased with.

Hopefully later today that will be five!

Geh, momentary panic as I can't find how to post new songs. This is the sound of a barrel being scraped.

We've had a reasonably productive day RPM-wise, putting lots of new parts to tracks that were sounding less than promising, but are now sounding quite good. We started work on our tenth song this morning, and the majority of the other nine only have vocals or drums to sort out. So with more work tomorrow we should be back on track going into the last 5 days. We do lack some lyrics for some of those songs though.

We've posted one song to the RPM site now, mainly because it's an instrumental, the opening track and the only one that doesn't need vocals or drums adding. I think I'm less happy than Andrew about the project on the whole, but I think that's down to my stupid levels of perfectionism.

And why does everything I write sound like it could be a Tim Burton soundtrack?

I love the guitar on the Pylon song, that is the sound of a rock beast wrestling with his instrument. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I understand that as this is a leap year, for FAWM you have to do fourteen and a half songs, rather than your already masterful quota of fourteen.

Still got plenty of time mind.

Nah, it's not essential.
(The extra "½" song is a suggested, but not required, songwriting collaboration, for leap year and all...)
That doesn't mean it won't happen though.
