I got a new loop pedal and was fiddling around with it and recorded this Cocteau Twins cover.

I've been going through a bit of a slow patch in terms of writing recently, but I just came up with my first new song that I really like in quite a while. Here:

I done recorded a few things, just for my own amusement really, not really indiepop as such, I'm not the greatest singer either, so no vocals as yet! But if there's anyone in the Notts/Derby area interested in doing 'sommat' let me know! https://mattisalarmed.bandcamp.com

Finally began to try out some song ideas, having decided that my having very little musical ability should not be an excuse not to try...https://soundcloud.com/the-ecstatic-caravans/pioneers

Two songs I recorded last night and the night before, respectively.

I have formed a new transatlantic synthpop duo with a girl called Huan-Hua from Wisconsin. Here are the two songs we have done so far!

What a time to be alive!

Tom, those are wonderful. Huan-Hua has a lovely voice. Is that a Casio SK-1 on the second track? :)

Yes! Well, an SK-5, but good spot regardless! I sampled my own voice for the main sound. Thank you, we'll hopefully have some more stuff recorded soon!

I recorded this song in my hotel room in Istanbul the other night on the cümbüş cura. (cümbüş + cura, a type of saz). Hopefully it doesn't smack too much of orientalism. I was just having fun with quarter tones.

My Chickfactor cover

Post by shangrilala » Thu Aug 06, 2015 11:54 pm

I already made a separate post about my band, but since this doesn't really fall under that because it's something I just did myself I thought I'd make a new post. It's more of a straight up acoustic stylee version with a little tinkering here and there. Hope you like it.

Here's something I just made.

Fun Fact: The chorus was inspired by a dream I had (earlier to-day, whilst napping on the couch) that involved Boba Fett being a devout Muslim and making the Hajj.

Hello! I recorded a new collection of summer songs recently. Here's one called 'In The Hallway' that's partly about making songs from whichever instruments are around, and it has some tremolo acoustic guitars, soft harmonies and a touch of samba drums!

I tried to just post a single track here, but the Bandcamp BBCode would like you to see the whole album :-)

Just listened to the album Andy and it's lovely. I especially like Twenty-four Hours. Yes.
