Distribution

Post by volcanogod » Fri Nov 26, 2010 10:38

Hi

I play in this band www.thegrizzleyends.co.uk i guess we're pop-punk. Anyway our label got moth-balled so now we need a new place to sell and distribute our records through; Any suggestions?

Would i be better off selling through INTERPUNK, AMAZON or EBAY. Or maybe, lumped in with a smaller more specialised distro?

cheers

kel :)

Do you mean digital distribution? I use TuneCore, which lets you pick and choose which channels you want to use; they've got Amazon mp3, iTunes, eMusic Spotify, and a load more. Obviously, the more channels you choose, the pricier it gets, but if you're confident of selling a few downloads, you'll recoup what you make pretty quickly.
Yawn.

Cheers

Well downloads would work too i guess, i like the idea of streaming as well e.g. Spotify. Does anyone buy CDs any more? The only thing i know for certain is we shift even less CDs with zero outlets.

Thanks for the pointers, I'm currently investigating RouteNote
