There was an interesting article in The Sunday Times (I think it was the Times, I don't buy it) about a man from Northumberland or there abouts who has devoted his efforts to ridding Britain of the grey part of the squirrel (scurius?) population.
He certainly did! Not sure about the squirrel offal kebab though.
That article was in The Guardian about some toff with a French name who shoots greys on sight. Someone wrote in and suggested he should have more sympathy with the grey squirrels because they were an invader who slaughtered the native population just like his Norman ancestors did!

i was paging through a far side collection for the first time in a while the other day... and it's clearly noticeable how far gary larson is on the "shifty" side of squirrel opinion...
