I don't think I get it. Mind you, I don't know what entropy is, so I've got no chance.
I'm not right good with science so this may be a bit wrong but I think it's were everything has a uniform state so there's no interaction between things meaning nothing changes.
I don't really get it either but the thing that made my brain hurt wasn't that self aware beings could just spontaneously happen but that they'd have a different view of the universe than ours and because there'd be massively more of them than beings like us then that would make our view incorrect. I got that more from an article I read in New Scientist at lunch. It also said someone thinks they've disproved the theory using string theory. Bloody string theory - always spoiling everything!

That makes a bit more sense to me.
I've often pondered the ramifications of the proposition that, if the Universe is infinite, then any configuration of matter and circumstance is not only possible but inevitable. So as well as Boltzmann brains, there must be planets that resemble our own in almost every respect with some notable exceptions. So out there somewhere in the Universe there's a place that looks exactly like Earth except, say, Madagascar and Sri Lanka have swapped places. Or football is played with 12 people on a team instead of 11. Or Marmite was never invented, or it was invented but it's yellow instead of brown. Or Ian Brown can sing.

I feel slightly taller for having read this.
A few years ago I read something about entropy that made my brain finally click to it a little bit. It took me all day to find it again but it's here
. It's so old, it spells 'website' as two words with a capital w. Aw!
