Exeter Goes Pop!

Post by lemonadeboy » Sun Mar 09, 2008 15:11

Comrades. Ever wondered why so few people in the South West seem to be in love with great underground Pop music? With your support, EGP hopes to change this sad state of affairs by spinning hits from the International Pop Underground, old '60s girl groups and soul, tweecore, new Swedish indie, post-punk.

So come along, bring your friends and say hello. Or stay at home and listen to your Artic Monkeys. See if we care...

It's a Flickr thing. You need to get rid of the last bit of that link. I've done it now and it's ok. :)

One day I'll make it to EGP! and it'll be so lovely. Have a great time!

It's fantastic, isn't it?

This looks like a great night. I've never been to Exeter before. Let's set a trip up, Marianthi!

I keep meaning to make it along, but I'm usually down during school holidays. I shall aim for a long-ish weekend soon (but doubt I can make the 20th).

Thanks for posting this, Rob! :)

Everyone is welcome to come down to the West Country and dance to the nice pop tunes we're playing. Or to just have a chat. And just give a shout if you need a place to spend the night.

This could be perfect! A gig I want to see, a place I love to drink, and I might actually be in the right county!

That, of course, should be the 17th of April. Thursday, next week. Still free, of course.

If Wilson was as half as good as he was on Thursday night then you are in for a treat.

This should be a very different night. I'm planning to do some cover versions I've never done live, and probably won't do again. A special treat for Alistair's birthday...hopefully!

I am deeply regretting not getting a train ticket last week when it would have been £25 and not the £55 I was quoted today. Grrreedy forkers.

It was good, wasn't it? There's a video at Phil's MySpace where, according to yet unconfirmed rumours, I can be seen dancing out of tune.

Next one is on the 15th of May. No bands than probably.
