7th Annual Nottingham Pop All-Dayer, 4th October

Post by a layer of chips » Mon Jan 27, 2014 06:18

Alddayer Flier single.jpg
This year's all-dayer will be on Saturday 4th October, and it'll be at The Maze again.

Obviously, this is ages away and we'll all probably be robots by then, but doors will be at 12.30pm. First band to be on at 1pm.

The line-up is confirmed as (in alphabetical order):

City Yelps
The Fireworks
The Hobbes Fanclub
The Lovely Eggs
Manhattan Love Suicides
Milky Wimpshake
Night Flowers
The School
Slum of Legs
Spearmint
The Spook School
When Nalda Became Punk

That's twelvty bands in total. Or indeed 12.

Tickets are available in advance for £15 each from: http://www.themazerocks.com/gig/nottingham-pop-dayer

Last year's was a sell out and this year's will almost certainly be too... so think on!

Word has it there's likely to be an Anorak Nottingham gig on the preceding Friday, for anyone wanting to make a weekend of it. Line-up to be decided in like six-months time.

I really wanted to catch some of When Nalda Went Punk at Indietracks (I think they partially clashed with someone) and I have no recollection of whether I managed to or not.

They're coming over for just this gig - which is incredible, really. Or daft.*

*Not really. It's lovely of them.

Sorry to be a berk about this, but it is going to happen isn't it? I'm just a bit antsy about coughing up for a hotel now (while they're still relatively cheap) Sorry. When Nalda Became Punk though. Ace!!!

Yeah, of course! It's happened the last six years... somehow...

No, everything is booked. Including nearly all the bands. I'd get your hotel sorted.

We're delighted to announce that the re-formed (but hopefully not reformed) Manhattan Love Suicides have joined the bill. Don't forget yr earplugs.
It is no coincidence

If the last two bands we want come off then I might just stand there messing myself all day.

They were so good on Saturday! They really get better every time I see them.

Jo also just pointed out today that this comes at the end of a week I'd already booked off work! Hmm.
