What a brilliant looking line-up! 'Every one's a winner baby, that's the truth.'
The Bristol Indie Society have got their tickets bought, their coats on already, and will be waiting by their front doors until the morning of Sept 14th.

yay

Am looking forward to this! Liked the Maze as a venue (+ pub) from first visit at Tunabunny gig..

Just wondering.. do you know roughly what time the Big Pink Cake DJing on Saturday night is likely to finish?

Also, the Friday night - are the things planned at the Chameleon still going ahead? Do you have rough start/ end times for that too?

I'll check with the venue how long we can go on for on Saturday.

Friday night is still go! It'll start at around 8.30pm, and you won't be late to bed at all! Or you will be if you want to be; The Chameleon closes when the last person passes out.

We can have the room until 2am on the Saturday/Sunday, apparently. We'll all be worn out by then, right?

Just bought my ticket! Can't wait. What an amazing line up (as per usual)!

Edit: I'm being dead posh this year and staying at a hotel 10 minutes walk up the road. If I walk back to the hotel at 2am how likely is it that I'll be stabbed up?

You'll be totally fine, Dan. Quite a few people live up that way so will probably walking back at the same time anyway. Don't walk through the forest recreation ground and you'll be ok.

What's the name of the hotel, Dan? There's a couple of them on the corner of my street that it might be.

It's the Best Western on Mansfield Road

The area between The Maze, James's house, and the Best Western is known locally as "The Nottingham Sexy Triangle".

trousers are often known to disappear

only to turn up hours later mysteriously around the ankles, if they turn up at all

from wikipedia:
The Nottingham Sexy Triangle, also known as the Pubic Triangle, is clearly defined region in the upper to middle part of Nottingham where a number of underpants and vests are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The triangle does not exist according to the US Navy and the name is not recognized by the US Board on Geographic Names.[1] Popular culture has attributed various disappearances to the paranaughty or activity by extra saucy beings.[2] Documented evidence indicates that a significant percentage of the incidents were spurious, inaccurately reported, or embellished by later authors.[3][4][5] In a 2013 study the World Wide Fund for Nature identified the world’s 10 most hot and sexy urban areas for 'getting it on', but the Nottingham Sexy Triangle was not among them.[6] Contrary to popular belief, insurance companies do not charge higher premiums for maintaining one's trousers in this area.[3]

Maximum number of characters is 60,000, so I'll reign in the excitement (number of exclamation marks) a little, but my ticket is bought and I'm coming to this!!!

It wouldn't be the Nottingham Sexy Triangle if you weren't there, Tom.

I might also watch some bands if the raunchy geometry allows.

There's a new bar being opened especially for the all-dayer* at The Maze, meaning there'll be three bars to choose from.

This is going to be my first Saturday off work since Indietracks, so I'll be all over the "fanceh new drinks and cocktail menu"!
