This is something to look forward too.

Balls, i've missed the last 2 years due to birthdays and holidays and now you move the weekend so it clashes with a friends wedding.

THANKS NOTTINGHAM.

When oh when will i ever get to see Wimpshake again.
and that snare drum, that drum roll

I'll come again as long as you pretend you're putting on Tigercats again.

BLOODY HELL, DAVE.

You could ask them to be the wedding band.

my tuppence is it's a nice venue, the chameleon has its charms but this is bigger and correspondingly more professional for all that entails. shinier, functional toileter with actual drinks you've heard of (in fact is has many lovely ales). there's two rooms, the forest tavern which is a normal pub you don't need to pay into use and the venue itself. it's a big square room (also with a bar) about 220 capacity so fucking massive compared with the chameleon, but there's seating around the outside so even if it's fairly dead it never looks empty. it's also quite dark. hate an over lit venue. it normally seems to have ska punk bands on, so i will be hilariously coming over and switching the sound settings to FULL 11 SKANK for every band

is there going to be a disco after? you could probably have a legit decent disco in there after time, rather than djing in the bar area.

only thing i'd say is they normally have someone on the door doing bag searches, so fans of shonky booze should probably be careful. also the owner went apeshit and banned about 12 clubnights from the venue for no real reason when someone wrote his name in the toilet. so no doing that. looking at you islandhopper.

venue facts. i'm not putting it on or owt, this is the jamiec subjective punter view.

It lulled me into a false sense of security - date reserved in June, positive reviews and huge bar takings I could point to, all that. That a week after I went public with the date London Popfest would announce its move into the same month, and then two weeks after that the event in Cardiff we seem not to be talking about on Anorak was announced, and now Shrag's last stand is the Friday before... 'elite conspiracy', that's all I'd say. (Clearly I don't believe that, but as another booking agent email goes ignored it does darkly cross my mind)

Anyway, Nottingham Alldayer! It'll be great and I'll doubtless be there.
