I broke that to you at least a week ago... may I suggest there's an element of cheek about your reply to fair jamie?

mind you, it fucked me right up that did, I'm still reeling from it now... they've opened up a sweaty pastry pocket shop in it's place

it's fucking criminal

I don't think there's been an Upper Crust there for quite some time. I think there might be one at Kings Cross though, so if you're getting the tube to St Pancras you could pop in on the way. They do a nice but no doubt extremely fattening double cheese and onion sandwich in the little shop there if that's any help. I'm rather a conoisseur of rail eateries.

Some time, eh, Woodbine?

I had to have one of those pasties and I was a bit drunk and I kept getting it all over the woman next to me. She weren't too pleased.

In other news; Birmingham is shite.

Are we going to watch Elvis tonight?
Rob and I were just trying to decide what time to go back to Nottingham today.
If there is fun we will get an earlier train, you see.

Today we went to Dimmingsdale to pick chestnuts.
There were no chestnuts.
And The Chained Oak has lost a limb.
Oh noes!

I've been out for four nights running. I can't manage another one.

I trust everyone is coming along on Tuesday.

Can someone tell indiehorse about this forum? I worry about him...

I told him up good.

We went to la Tasca last night and it was well rubbish. The chap who sat us down asked if we had been to la Tasca before and I said no which was clearly a mistake as he proceeded to explain the menu to us with a level of detail that was perhaps slightly unnecessary. He went so far as to explain to us what starters were, and how you have them before your main meal, then he told us what sangria was and what liquers were and everything.

we haven't formed any ill advised and ill attended clubs for a while. may i suggest the following.

club club - sitting around sampling various flavours of club biscuits. perhaps making some sort of league table and publishing the results into the public domain. pointless though as orange would win.
chubb club - sitting around talking about the best kind of fire extinguishers. i've always favoured a foamy one, but i would dearly love to see a powder in action.
rub club - a club that involves rubbing. thighs, brass or dub a dub dub. anything goes.
blub club - sitting around watching beaches and saying men are shits
pub club- sit in a pub and sample all the drinks till someone falls over or does a sick. that person loses and gets called a loser.

Rob and I tried to ressurect Sunday Drinking Club earlier.
We had one bottle of pear cider and then the lady called time at the bar.
Time At The Bar.
At 8 o' clock!
What is Nottingham coming to?
Then we tried Junktion7 and it was full of STUDENTS playing Wii.
Fucking Hell.

for all these reasons I'm making it my mission to move to nottingham in january- that's my goal...

brace yourselves

I carn't move any sooner (sorry) because of monies

can I suggest the following:

scrub club- a monthly meeting to exfoliate one another with force if necessary
snub club- a poorly attended group for ardent non-conformists
tub club- bathtime fun... may appeal to scrub club members and vice versa

thanks

Hooray for Andygrunt-style Nottinghamward-moving antics! I haven't had tea club for ages. I should have one soon I reckon.
