Hello!
I'm probably going to that Mega Sweden Popfest thing in Derby tomorrow.
Anyone else going?
Apparently it finishes at 10pm so y'all can get the 10.30 train home after if you fancy it. I imagine there are also buses.
http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=282183501805518
applesfordiscos and Cosy Den are teaming up to bring to you the best Ango-Swede line-up Derby has EVER seen (promise).

**De Montevert (Sweden)**
A musical project from the deepest woods of Sweden. And everything else that seem to get in the way of good thinking. For fans of Ladytron and Bjork and Au Revoir Simone.
http://demontevert.tumblr.com/

**Themakingof (UK)**
Derby's very own electro-pop connoisseurs will also be putting in a very rare appearance! Go grab there new album here: (it's awesome)
http://themakingof.bandcamp.com/

**Friday Bridge (Sweden)**
A mixture of contemporary baroque and modern electro-pop. Friday Bridge describe their music as "beautiful and a little troubling, crazy and infectiously poppy at the same time".
http://www.fridaybridge.net/

**Paddington DC (Sweden)**
Paddington Distortion Combo can probably be most effectively described as brilliantly sparkly lo-fi drone-pop. Really great. REALLY great.
http://www.last.fm/music/Paddington+DC

**Scribble Victory (UK)**
Derby's Scribble Victorys debut EP 'Joined-Up Handwriting" is an explosion of simple electro beats, acoustic guitars and awkwardly (in a a good way) candid lyrics. Listen here:
http://scribblevictory.bandcamp.com/

Proceedings commence from 4pm. All bands finish by 10pm. £3

With Cosy Den's very own Mattias and applesfordiscos DJs providing us with auditory delights on the decks till midnight.

Until then! xx

Hello Nottingham.

Sven, is coming to our fair city at around 3:15 this afternoon, I shall be meeting him at the coach station.
If anyone fancies a drink or a bite to eat, text me up and I'll let you know where we're at. Or you can let me know where you're at and we'll come find you.

Failing that see some of you at the gig at the Rescue Rooms I hope. Will probably be there from 6 or even a bit before.

I think I'm going to be meeting people at Spanky's at 6.30ish due to the superior quality of beer. Come there instead!

Ay up, everyone. Pablo became a dad overnight. He now has a little boy called Patrick. Well done, Pablo!

It's a long time since I've been to a gig at the maze so may come along.
Wouldn't mind just going and drinking in there anyway.

I live by the Maze now (well, more by the Maze than ever before) so I might come too.

I also have moved recently. If anyone in Carrington or nearby (or, fuck it, anywhere else in the world) fancies coming round to my new flat for a cup of tea or alternative then do give me a shout. My housemate is ace and the house is pretty warm despite having no heating (we steal the heating from our neighbours! They have too much!).

Hey Nottinghams.
I'll be in town on Sunday for Grant Hart at Glee Club.
It's a rare occurrence these days so maybe we could go out for a few boozes?
I could come over Saturday if a Saturday Booze Club would be easier?
Failing that, should be up on the 10th anyway for popfest.
xx

Awesomes!

See you Sunday then Hayley.
And I'll give you a shout when I head up J-Dawg. Think there might be some sort of Roast Club happening on Sunday too.
I'll do the rest by text innit.
