Spook School are also playing in Edinburgh on May 18.

Unpop are putting them on at the Wee Red Bar. There will (I think) be an Unpop club on afterwards..

Martha are playing at Banshee's Labyrinth on June 5 - which annoyingly clashes with something else that I already have going on. Boo. :(

I'd like to see Spook School. Saw them once there and they were really good.

Ooh, I am really excited about both of these! Awesome. Although where on earth is Banshee's Labyrinth?!

Heading your way in about 90 minutes chaps - if anyone's around we're doing "Total Hero Team" every day until the 17th at The Dram House Upstairs (aka GRV aka The Wilkie House) at 6pm. If not, will hopefully see you at the Just Joans on the 16th!

Hello Edinburgh Anoraks

I'm moving your way in a couple of weeks to start a new job, and I'm still frantically trying to find somewhere to live. Does anyone have a spare room they're trying to rent out, or know of anyone else who does? That'd be terrifically handy

Also, i need to know what the good pubs are and where they are. Your sage advice and company would be gratefully appreciated.

How exciting! What's your new job? I can't think of anyone looking for a flatmate off the top of my head but will post on Facebook and see if anyone has a room on the go and report back.

What sort of pubs do you like generally? I don't go out much at weekends as my partner has his kids then but I have a good working knowledge of Edinburgh's pubs. There are some great places for real ale! I'm pretty sure a few of us could arrange a pub meeting once you're settled.

Most pubs in Edinburgh that look decent are decent.
