Oh dear me, Saturday was great and it was so lovely to see everyone, sorry for being rubbish and leaving so early and not coming back and "hating pop music" (the words of Ray not me) but I hope everyone had fun! It was a nice warm glow to see everyone, quite unlike my usual state at the moment. Loves! How lovely.
"Look at all this, indiepop, what are they playing at? Fucking biscuits. Fucking colouring-in."

Hello!

I'm not sure there is much on, it depends what you're after though. For gigs, there's a wonderfully comprehensive West Midlands gig guide by following this link.

There's a good and diverse monthly round up on Russ L's blog here. Created in Birmingham may be worth having a look through if you're looking for something arty.

Are you staying in the centre or one of the suburbs? I may be able to recommend some local highlights.

What's everyone up to this weekend? I'm thinking Tropical Hotdog tomorrow because Hergoza are playing (which is Matt who used to be in Horowitz), and then Saturday I'm off to Colour in Wolverhampton because two of Hood are doing solo shows with July Skies playing too.

Yes! Project X will be ace, and I really want to see what BUSK is like. Gutted I'm at End of the Road this weekend though.

Interesting post here - http://www.steflewandowski.com/2008/09/ ... irmingham/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - based on the premise of what evidence of culture and creativity would you see if you were a first time tourist here wandering round.

hello,

in case you didn't know superman revenge squad has a new CD-R album out and it's only £3. available from his myspace page and it's really very good.

also, i was just clearing out some stuff back home yesterday and came across a whole load of postcards from bands advertising albums, tours etc. that i used to get delivered. remember when you used to get the cards inside the CD cases and you'd post them off to get on the mailing list. well, i just wondered if anyone still gets these? as i realised i haven't had one for ages and i used to get them all the time, seems a bit of a shame as it was nice to get them. i'm guessing that the internet has rendered them obsolete but still - just wondered if anyone still gets them?

Bloody love Slow Club I do. Everyone should come!

EDIT - images aren't working, gah. 444 Club are putting on Slow Club on the 24th, is basically what the image said in flyer format - http://www.myspace.com/kamikazeevents" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
