Hello London folk.

My girlfriend is looking for somewhere to live in London for the next academic year (i.e. September to July or so, with some degree of flexibility), as she's just finished a year abroad and is now going back to uni for her final year.

She asked if I'd post up here in case anyone has a room to rent, or knows somebody that does. So that's what I'm doing!

If anyone has any info, let me know. She's lovely, clean, quiet, etc. and you'd get the added bonus of visits from me!

Oh, and the uni is UCL so it would need to be within reasonable travel distance of their main campus area, but she doesn't need to be super close or anything. Any help would be massively appreciated!

I'm gonna be down for a couple of days the week after next. Does anyone remember who I am and want to go for a pint?

Hi Robbie. I don't know when the next installment of London Pub Club is planned, but it might coincide with your visit (lucky you!).

Pub Club next week - yes please. Tuesday? Let's go somewhere where we can sit around for hours. Is the Royal Oak good for that or is it too small? I can't think now.

It's pretty small. I've been in there a couple of times and there was barely a free seat.

I may already be drunk by the time I get to this. If I get there at all.

Right then, Londons. Tuesday's pub club. How about The Kings Arms in Waterloo? I haven't been in there in a long time but I seem to remember it's got a beer garden or at least a conservatory. I wonder if Trev's gonna be back by then. He's been on holiday for about two months now.

I take it nobody has any ideas about my housing query then? Just thought I'd "bump" it just in case.

I don't know anyone who's letting a room, but I'd advise her to check www.moveflat.com and www.spareroom.co.uk - they were both really useful when I was looking for a place here.
