I was in a couple of weeks ago. The brewery has taken it over and it is currently captainless while they look for a new landlord. You should apply :)

I'll mosey on down to the Horeshoe for about 8.30/9pm then. It does seem like EVERYONE'S coming out tonight, doesn't it? Should be a great night. I ran into Tara in town earlier, she should be along at some point too.

Good night that and lovely to see those Englandshire folks once more.

Kudos to Sam for outlasting me and resisting the temptations of the cash machine, although in my defence I had always intended to get the half 1 bus. It may have been the first Glasgow-Edinburgh night bus I've been on where people up the back were talking about Israel and Palestine, albeit with wild inaccuracy and sweeping generalisations. Luckily, that was balanced out by those nearer the front talking about drinking and shagging. Wait a minute, that bus configuration is all wrong... The world's gone mad... etc...
They don't call me Hawkeye Gilhooley... at all

we might be going. we're still undecided. i'm half drunk on sangria already, so i am well up for some dancing and drinking, but we're both pretty tired.

this is probably totally redundant now, anyway, as you're probably not online any more.

There's not a separate thread for Glasgow gigs, is there? Anyway, The Just Joans are playing at Brel tomorrow night, and I was thinking of heading along if anyone fancies it.

I think I will. I have a few novices to initiate into The Just Jones fandom.

Also! Slow Club are playing at the Captain's Rest tonight if anyone's at a loose end. They sound sweet and ace and I'd go see them if I wasn't already seeing them on Thursday in Edinburgh.

yeah! they're really fun live, too.

i'm not going because: i'm busy 7-9, and if i'm going to go to a gig after that then it will be thao with the get down stay down at sleazy's.

I saw Slow Club but 2 months ago at King Tuts. Annoyed that I had to bail straight after their set (and after a hugemongous £9 fare). They were great playing the Au Revoir Simone gig (also ace) at The Admiral last year too.
