What was the name of that curry house we went to. I seem to remember it did a mean chapatti!
And by me, I mean, Flexo.

'Sangams,' I believe. Very fine it is too!

Is anyone coming to the loves gig, then?

Maybe. I have to go to Chester on Saturday for a distinctly non-popshow event which might preclude my attendance though.

Oh, what a shame.....mind you - Stoke gig, kip over here, up early(ish) and off to Chester! Cake and eat it!

I've just sent a sternly worded email to Stoke-on-Trent City Council about the lack of signage to the coach station. They won't mess with Atomic Beat Records again, you mark my words.

Dear Mr Green
Thank you for your recent email dated the 26 November regarding the above.

You are quite correct - there is insufficient, albeit virtually no signing to
the City Centre bus station. The reasons for this are many and varied, the
main ones being that there have been a constant stream of 'would-be'
development proposals for the East West Precinct which includes the Bus Station.
Consequently, no scheme was ever progressed.

However, there are now major proposals for all of the City Centre, following an
International Design Challange Award, to review all of the City Centre's
facilities (incl.the bus station). I understand that in the short term, the
bus station will be relocated to John Street surface Car Park during the
redevelopment of the area. As to timescales, I have not yet been informed.

To summarise, whilst I can only apologise for any inconvenience caused for the
delay in your journey time, the City Centre is set to undergo a massive
regeneration which will include at its heart clean, modern and well signed
Public Transport infrastructure. Should you have any further queries, please
do not hesitate to contact me.
Fight the power.

I've noticed that good Birmingham bands seem to be playing the Wrongpop nights at the Glebe at the moment. Does anyone know how that night is going?

Yes, it's run by Steve, who's a good friend of ours and who does a similar thing to Sunny Inside, in that he puts on bands he really likes and the door money is split between the bands. It's been a regular monthly night or so for over a year now.

The Untitled Musical Project gig was fantastic....and very loud!

What has happened to the Sunny Inside gigs? There seemed to be one a month but there's not been one since A Smile And A Ribbon and no sign of any upcoming on the myspace page?

Sadly, the Bandstand closed its doors this week, causing the cancellation of the Lovely Eggs show and there's talk of the Glebe not being around too much longer, as a music venue. Hopefully, we can find somewhere else.....
