Should be able to watch it in the Closed Shop then. That's a decent pub.

When you go and watch a film at the cinema, you're generally supposed to go with someone else, aren't you? Sorry, I'm not very up on films. Does anyone want to watch a film with me at the cinema?

I used to go on my own all the time. Robbie does it too.

What are you going to watch?

This thing with Tom Courtney and Charlotte Rampling. 45 Years. I read a review of it today and am very keen to see it. It sounds very unfashionable.

Just a reminder that the Robberie single launch gig is upstairs at the Rutland this Thursday. Free to get in. Also features: me, and cake. It's gonna be lovely.

Boo! I'm going to miss Trev Club :-(. Though I probably wouldn't enjoy watching rugby very much...

I'd forgot about Thursday and I've arranged to go out worth Dobbie. He wants to go to the Fat Cat but I'll see if I can persuade him to go to the Red Deer.

Anyone up for the Delicious Clam Records showcase at Bummers and Badgers on Friday? I ask because a couple of the bands seem decent.

I have copied blurb from Facebook for non-Facebook types:
Delicious Clam Records showcase...

Fruit Bomb
https://soundcloud.com/deliciousclamrec ... -goin-home

"Gloriously infectious, ragged vocals and jangly guitars that will transport you straight back to the heart of the '60s."
NME

Fruit Bomb's new single "Goin' Home" is the latest release from Delicious Clam. They play fast, catchy and energetic punk music, taking influence from the vast back catalogue of garage bands all searching for that perfect combination of melody, chaos and spirit. Think The Black Lips, Jacuzzi Boys, King Khan and the BBQ with a bit of Ty Segall and The Ramones thrown in.

Long Limbs
http://soundcloud.com/longlimbsband

Long Limbs are Pete Eason-Daniels and Tom Pool. They recently released their debut single Amitriptyline on Delicious Clam Records in the form of an A5 screen print featuring original artwork by Lew Currie. It rules! You should totally check it out if you’re into people like The Breeders, Jackson Scott and Dinosaur Jr.

Thumbuster
https://soundcloud.com/deliciousclamrec ... mbuster-ep

Emo touchstones peppered with intricate guitars and surreal wordplay combined with punk immediacy, 1 guitar, 1 bass, 1 drums. They recently released their debut EP through Delicious Clam.

Thee Mightees

The youngest fruit of the Delicious Clam loins, featuring members of your favourite bands, toeing the line between classic 60s/70s pop and C86 indie
https://www.facebook.com/events/789042261213005/

Dunno, I just like the sound of it. Free in mind.

Boo! Can't make it to the popshow tonight because Jo's out. Unless she comes home early enough but she probably won't be. If not I may go to the BB tomorrow if any body's going?

Not sure. Dunno if I can cope with it yet. You up for Punchy Club though? I saw Jeremy earlier - he said he might be...

I can't Punchy tomorrow as I'm going to work from home to see if I can get to see a doctor. I wanted to see one today but by the time I got through all the appointments were taken :-(.

Anyone fancying the secret invite only re-opening of the Punchbowl on Thursday? I've got 3 guest places if anyone wants one.

If you didn't know, it's joined the Closed Shop/Tuns/Rutland family. Opens properly on Friday. Will be doing pizza. And much booze (8 taps and 2 keg lines).

Oooh exciting! I didn't know that. I don't think I can make it Thursday though as it's the only night I've not got something on before Monday after months of hardly ever going out - I'm not sure I'll cope!

Would seem rude not to, 2 minutes' walk from home... Cara might say yes too. Totally planning to go on Saturday whatever happens.

EDIT: please, thank you.

If there is/are (a) spare(s) Cara too says she would be grateful for one. Thanks. No bother if not.

Yeah, no worries.

What time? Was considering having my tea there and heading up after work but can make it later.

The invite says food is served between 4pm and 9pm, so at least by 4pm.

If we're going at tea time I'll just get a 52 straight up from work (finish at 16:30).

Anyone else? Pete, I'm assuming you have an invite already?

Cara says she'll come round to mine after she finishes work; I should be able to get home for about 5, too. Not going to stay out late, as I'm on a boozy do in Manchester on Friday, then I fully intend having a proper session in the PB on Saturday afternoon and/or evening if it's any good.
