I have a sixpack of beer and a bag of chips, and I slept half of Mexico vs. Cameroon, so I'm ready.

That second half was absolutely unexpected and bloody brilliant. So much fun!

Second half was incredible. It's good to see a match which reminds you why you love the game.

I'm bloody loving this World Cup. So many goals, so much attractive, attacking football! It was even enjoyable watching England tonight, they were great (even if they did TECHNICALLY lose). I've noticed that people seem to be criticising the commentators and pundits this year instead of the players so Roy must be doing something right!

In summary: More of this kind of thing.

It's good, innit?

Mind you, there are still people moaning that a game is irredeemably rubbish if there haven't been nine goals by half time.

I've watched at least some of every single match but I keep missing goals by going to the loo or getting a drink from the kitchen. I missed all three goals in the USA Ghana match despite watching at least 85 minutes of the match.

Ooof. I actually did it the other way round and saw all the goals - I watched the start and the end and had a kip in the middle!

You know that bit on Noel's House Party where they'd set up a camera in someone's living room and watch them watching telly? well that's what the World Cup folks have done round your place...heh heh...

If Chris Waddle were coming through the academy at a Premier League club now, they'd coach him into Jordan Henderson.

I love how he starts out relatively calm but talking about it just makes him angrier and angrier. I love Chris Waddle. Seeing him play for City in the flesh was one of the highlights of my football-supporting life. And he's absolutely right.

Apparently lots of people replied that he was at fault because he missed that penalty.

He was at it again earlier this evening, and again he was totally right.

Winds me up listening to the self-righteous 5Live idiots setting out their "long term plan" for England, though, when they spend nine months of the year fawning over the Premier League and making huge pronouncements on the season, clubs and individual players on the back of one weekend of games.

Wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Dead chuffed for Algeria! Totally deserved. They were triffick, Gary.

Quite an entertaining tournament so far, eh? Already looking forward to Mexico - Netherlands this Sunday. Tonight should be another highlight with Uruguay - Italy. I've predicted almost no game correctly, and despite losing the money, I'm glad it's so much better and more surprising than I thouht it would be.

You know how a stopped clock shows the right time twice a day?
