Just when you think it can't get any worse for Northern Ireland, Lawrie Sanchez starts making wild threats.

BOOM. Chorley have just turned FC United of Money over 2-0 at home. I can't wait to get to see them this season, sounds like we are playing some really good football. Who would have thought that Garry Flitcroft is a tactical genius (at non-league level)?

I trust we're suitably prepared for the likelihood of Robbie Savage becoming a major prime-time TV star? There was some amount of fun watching Twitter search for people who'd never come across him before, although I'd question the person who claimed he "looks like George Best".

The horror, the horror.

Strange one really isn't it? I'm yet to hear any of these "oooh, but actually, you should listen to him on 606, he's not as stupid as we all thought" moments that people talk about. All I hear when he's on the radio is a horrible gobby egomaniac.

That's how he sounds to me too - although occasionally he says something quite quick-witted, most of it's a pile of gibberish and he interrupts people and shouts over them constantly. I can imagine his exchanges with Craig Revel-Horwood prompting some of Brucie's trademark facial expressions though.

The tip of a dreadful iceberg. Guest spots on Loose Women, Would I Lie to You and Total Wipeout this way beckon, fo shizzle. (((shudders)))

As Russell Howard (I know, I know) once said of Prince Harry; "You have to marvel at just how ferociously unintelligent the man is". Sums up Roberto Sauvage to a tee as well, I reckon.

Anyone fancy coming to see York vs Grimsby on October 15th? In York? Standard Fare are coming, then we're off to get drunk.

If I was Standard Fare there would not be nearly enough penis's in the band. Or guitar/drum/general skills obviously.

Cool!

Meanwhile, David Icke's influence on footy continues to echo down the ages.
