FIGHT!

http://www.sportgrimsby.co.uk/grimsbyto ... ticle.html

This would be pretty remarkable if I wasn't completely desensitized to extraordinary uselessness at Blundell Park.

If any of this is true, then Fenty has to walk. Also, at last, it might be the start of the local paper actually questioning what the fuck is going on at BP, rather than blithely printing the official line from the club.

But I'm not holding my breath...

I really dislike Man Citeh. Sometimes borders on hatred, but mostly just an intense dislike.

But fair play to them for coming up with this song during their FA Cup exit to Stoke last night:

"Wembley , Wembley, its a part of London that were never going to see , Wembley"
Fuck your tea room.

Some men went to see a rumoured handshake and appear to be watching a football match instead.

These images never get any less shocking. (It's Aaron Ramsey's leg not looking particularly natural - do not click if squeamish).

I actually ended up feeling worse for Shawcross. He looked like he needed a hug after that.

Horrific challenge but I don't think Shawcross went in to deliberately hurt him - and this is coming from an Arsenal supporter. Still, back in the title race (again)!

That really is a terrible injury and as a supporter of the Welsh team it's a real shame it's happened to Ramsey. I hope it doesn't hold back his progress, definitely a promising player.

But I'm slightly annoyed by some Arsenal supporters/ Arsene Wenger saying that Arsenal are victimised and teams are going out to hurt them more than anyone else. It's unfortunate that three of their players have been on the receiving end of these injuries in recent years, but surely it's down to coincidence as much as anything? The smaller premier league teams will always have to be slightly more aggressive (though not anti-football or whatever Wenger calls it) when playing against more skillful opposition and that's surely just part of the game?

Even as a Man United fan I like Arsenal quite a lot and Wenger is undoubtedly a great manager, but he doesn't do himself any favours with this elitist attitude.

Bit of a pointless rant on a forum that isn't really premiership-centric I suppose.

Wenger and Ferguson get increasingly paranoid with every season that passes. They're clearly both showing early symptoms of dementia.

In other news, Forest have chuffing well bought someone at last. I'm excited too, because he's a skillful winger and everyone says he's amazing.

Does anyone here follow any teams in the conference south? I'm a massively fair weather Newport County supporter... I haven't been to a game since I was about 12, I only just noticed that they have a 24 point lead at the top of their league. I really hope they get back in the football league before too long, my granddad remembers them being a reasonably big team and I like the sound of that.

Richard, my mate's a Posh fan, and he reckons George Boyd is one of the most naturally gifted players he's ever seen.

As for Aaron Ramsey, while Wenger is consistently paranoid about most things, on this one I think he might have a point - the general opinion in this country is that Arsenal are softies who "don't like it up 'em", and that if you rough them up a bit it unsettles them and gives you a chance to beat them. This in itself is a perfectly valid tactic of course, but I'm convinced that the likes of Pulis, Allardyce et al will instruct their players to put in the odd "reducer" on their more skilful players, which leads to a risk of something like this happening. So personally I do think that this happening 3 times in 4 years is more than a coincidence.

The fact that Arse are quite prepared to do that themselves when it suits them somewhat undermines that argument.

Look at the treatment Nani got in the cup tie at Old Trafford a couple of years ago. They said it was because he was 'showboating' and therefore asking for it, but he only started that after United were 3-0 up and he'd already been kicked around from post to pillar.

Not that he's not a twat.

Btw Richard, that Forest signing has the smuggest dial this side of Lineker.
