Cuh, I thought that was the actual Françoise Hardy for a while (she could be a lurker on here, you never know). The illusion is ruined!

I think Concrete's in charge of the old one.
Yes, I said earlier that I'd leave it up in case anyone started playing again and failed to join the new one. I'll have a look later at it, and see what I can do about it.

Ooh blimey - I'm ranked 531st out of 207,194 playing the I Know The Score game. Sod "should've gone to Specsavers", I should've popped in to the bookies!

Our fantasy league is pretty close, isn't it. I'm going to try and make this year the first year I don't give up updating my team around March-time.

I'm planning a late-season surge from 18th place. Just you wait.

It’s bloody close. I was in 10th place on Saturday morning, but am now in 1st. Having no Liverpool or Fulham players in my team, I fully expect to be back down in 8th or something this time tomorrow.
Not quite so close in our ‘I Know the Score’ league where I’m feeling a touch smug with a 530 point lead.

I had him for a good while, but dropped him for Mark Albrighton when he (Adam) was suspended, and haven't transferred him back in...yet. Missed out on quite a few points there. HMM.

Yeah cheers for that advice! I had him and Andy Carroll from the start of the season. It's been a good year for high scoring bargain players.

Do any of you do Yahoo fantasy football?

(I was going to say 'play' there, but I think 'do' is probably better.)

It is ridiculously close - i'm closer to the top from 19th here than i am from 4th in the work one.

My self-imposed no Man U players rule doesnt help much when they have 2 clearly winnable games in the same week.

I'll just have to feel morally superior instead.

Yes, I looked at it earlier and thought "bloody hell, I've got 60 points and I've slipped about 8 places!". Clearly should have made Berbatov my captain with Tevez only playing once - I must have been in a hurry when I made that selection. My work one defected to Sky and doubled the entry fee this year, so I couldn't be arsed, but I'm having a great two-horse race with a colleague in a breakaway league.

I did that two seasons ago. Last year I went the whole season win no Man U or Chelsea. This year I thought "sod that" and decided just to play properly...

I just got the update email through, and found that I got manager of the week in my work league! This raises my winnings for the season from zero to £1. Just goes to show - you should never give up...

It's been a strange season for fantasy football. A lot of the more expensive players haven't performed or have been injured, which has been fun in a way because it gives you more money to play with and it becomes more about finding players from 'lesser' teams that are doing well or about to hit some good form. Clean sheets have been really hard to come by though and the whole season has been fairly unpredictable in terms of results.

I kinda like a difficult season though. I can't decide if it gives an advantage to people who put time in to do a bit of research or the opposite, where you can get by on pure jamminess. I saw a link to someone's team the other day who made no transfers for the first ten weeks or something and didn't change his captain and his team was ranked first overall (in the world) for four consectuive weeks. That's jammy.

When someone I'm in a league with had Berbatov as captain when he smashed 5 goals in in about November, it kinda took the wind out of my sails and I stopped about then. Bah.

I'll be all fresh come August though.
