Is anyone else playing the 'I Know The Score' game on the Fantasy site? I'm quite chuffed to have scored 115 points on the 4 games last night and am in the top 5% overall. I know it's not a big deal really, but it's much more exciting than this dreadful job...

Seven of my players don't have a game this week; another is suspended and another is injured. Shit!

Yeah I'm similar. And I took an 8 point 'hit' last week as I hastily drafted in 3 players, of whom only bagged me 6 points in total.

I knew this cruel winter were a bad thing.
Fuck your tea room.

It didn't help me drafting in a couple of Chelsea players only for them to go and get battered at home to Citeh and then not play the following week. Bah.

I'm sick as the proverbial parrot after yesterday's games. I thought I was on a huge points tally because I had Frank Lampard down as captain and my two nearest competitors (80sfan and Kippers) both had Rooney and Drogba, neither of whom played.Unfortunately I can only assume that both will have Lampard down as their emergency captain (either as most valuable or most in-form player), completely negating any kind of advantage I thought I had.

Emergency captains, eh? Shit rule. Obviously if I was benefiting from it I wouldn't be saying that.

Do you think you'll catch me before the end of the season, Nathan? You've consistently outscored me for most of the last three or four months.

I think this is the first year the emergency captain thing has come into play as well. Before, if your captain was injured or 'rested' you just had to lump it.

Sorry, probably not making you feel any better, this, is it? But yes, I got especially fluky that week, when Lampard scored 700 points or whatever.

Anyone know when we can start picking our teams for next season? I'm getting impatient.

Bit early yet. Everyone I pick will end up on Manchester City's subs bench.

IT IS NEVER TOO EARLY

ahem

you can change your team freely up until the first match, I think, so I'll be trying out about five different teams before the deadline. probably.

I'm pumped for this already. I came third in a WCFF league, that's helped me to realise that simply paying attention guarantees you a decent placing. Roll on August the something.

Attacking players only for me from now on. I make the mistake of picking cheap superstar defensive midfielders. Yaya Toure isn't going to get many points, is he? No.

Yeah you're always better picking an attacking player from a lesser team, especially if he's playing week-in week-out. My placeholder team is there. I'll take a look at it again nearer the time...

De Jong Fu is clearly the best team name so far.

Though having been to Arbury - i'm a bit scared of Arminia Arbury

Its harder this year; lot's of expensive players. I've had to stock up on a few place holders. Phil Jones of Blackburn may be a good shout as a future England defender but I don't think he's made of points.
