Zine Library at the Glasgow School of Arts

Post by E.A.R » Fri Jan 09, 2015 10:10

Dear Anorak kids and zinesters, please find below a call for contributions which may be of interest to some of you! Take care--- E.A.R x

The Glasgow School of Arts Library is starting a new Zine Collection and is looking for donations.

For those who don’t know, a fanzine (or zine for short) is essentially a handmade, self-publication from an individual or small group on anything– a zine might be a little booklet of drawings, photos, a poster, a series of essays, short-stories, poems - it does not have a barcode and is not made for profit. The general ethos of zines is the sharing and circulation of material culture created by individuals or small groups, outside of large-scale, industrial, capitalistic culture.

If you self-publish printed matter on a small-run basis – we want to hear from you!

Thank you.

ooh hooh....not sure if I sent all my spare back issues to the Rotherham Zine Library (which I believe is now homeless - wonder if they'd be interested in sharing?)
Thanks though.
